Without the password you must do a full system recovery, contact Dell support for the procedure to do this.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Dell Latitude D510 Screen Failed
The 14.1" inch screen is compatible with Latitude models D500, D505, D510, D600, D610 and Inspiron models 500m, 510m, 600m.
You may also need a screen inverter - in fact that is often the reason a screen is considered to be failing. The lcd inverter can be one of the most common items to become defective in a laptop computer. You may need a lcd inverter replacement if your screen is dim, dark, colored oddly, blinking, flickering or has dark stripes. Just something to keep in mind.
Hope this helps,

SOURCE: FORGOT MY PASSWORD?
There are a lot of Windows password revealers and crackers available, but I’ve found that Windows Password Recovery Tool is the
it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista Home Premium and Ultimate. It works perfectly to
reset any local user account to a blank password
You can use the ISO to burn a boot CD. Follow these instructions:
1. Download ISO file from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com Windows Password Recovery Tool
2. Burn to a CD using a CD burning tool such as Nero or Roxio or MagicISO
3. Insert CD into drive and reboot.
4. You may have to select an option in the BIOS to get the computer to boot from the CD.
Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm.

Only way to do this would be to do a "system restore" without disks you can only hope you have restore points setup... run system restore from control panel and find out..
if no restore points contact dell for a restore disk.. remember the system restore without disks will not remove viruses or other harmful files..
