This has no HDMI socket so you have a choice of either SCART or SVHS depending on what your TV has. If the TV users HDMI you might want to consider a SCART to HDMI adapter lead.
http://www.ebuyer.com/133106-startech-com-6-ft-hdmi-to-dvi-d-cable-m-m-hdmidvimm6?mkwid=sWA3N2WiH_dc&pcrid=51630194939&pkw=&pmt=&gclid=Cj0KEQiAyuPCBRCimuayhb3qqvwBEiQAgz62kTtKa_YG_1esIQiPgik-Xm5AFxuGZI25r11jA5KJOFwaAjJj8P8HAQ

Plug the SCART to TV in the bottom SCART not the top one!
If you just want a SCART to SCART make certain you get the highest quality ones you can find.
There is an OPTICAL output for the high quality sound. You can connect this via an OPTICAL lead to either a Surround Sound unit if you have one or direct to the TV. Again if it has an OPITICAL lead.
If using make certain the output it is switched on at both ends. You will see a red light if the TV is outputting it, with it unconnected to the VCR.

The link to the lead will give you a better picture and make it easier to connect the VCR to a modern TV.
The recorder will transfer all VHS tapes to the DVD recorder internally. You do not need any special leads for this.
If you no longer have the manual for the recorder you can see it online for free. Just put the model number into Google and add manual.

    Hi,
The link in your first reply is no good as I do not have any of those cable ends in the back of my vhs dvd combo, I do have the manual but it's not showing you the exact leads or cables I need to go into the back of the tv etc. All I need is for someone to show me there own setup on diagram who have the same model. I live in the UK by the way.

    Thank you

I take it that the TV doesn't have a SCART socket on the back of the unit, like those on the recorder? Otherwise if it has all you need is a SCART to SCART lead.
But if it has only HDMI then you can get one of these from Amazon.
"BW HDMI to SCART Composite Video Converter"
They cost from about £12. Sorry about the previous link. But if you put in the above words on Amazon it should find it.
The advantage is the adapter will boost the picture quality of the VCR, very important if the model is a large screen TV.

    Hi,
Both the vhs/dvd recorder combo and the tv have scart sockets,so would that be enough to get the video seen on the tv whilst I am recording onto dvd, also if I have the required software on my pc could I do it that way also.

Yes with just the SCART you can see everything that the recorder is doing. The VCR will even switch the TV to the SCART input.
You can indeed do it with a computer, but you do need lots of memory built in or the video will jump as you are recording it, known as dropped frames. A few might drop at first, but if you get 10 or more you are in trouble with picture quality. The VCR should give you a decent recording of the video. You can always rip the DVD it's made if you want to adapt or edit the video later. You can get free DVD rippers online.

    Hi,
Forgot to ask, do I have to put in my aerial lead and rf out to rf in into the back of the vhs/dvd combo or is it just the scart from the combo into the scart on my tv.

    Thank you

The aerial will not affect the recording of any tape to disc. In-fact unless it has a built in freeview digital tuner, the aerial connections are not needed at all. If it doesn't have freeview and you want to record TV shows you can connect a freeview box to the other scart socket. Set the box to the station you want to record. Then set the video to record. However make certain the station setting is the AV2 or you will get no signal. Also set the PDC control to off if it has one.

Copy Audio Cd into DVD

Best guess...put audio cd into DVD side, Video tape into VHS side. Set the VHS to record in SP, Then record the cd to vhs. then when you are done recording on the vhs, put a blank DVD in the recorder side, and press dubb to DVD to get it to record from vhs to Dvd.
