Question about HP PROMO DC7900 ULTRA-SLIM DESKTOP GENUINE MICROSOFT WINDOWS VISTA DOWNGRADE TO G

I messed my Documents window up - my documents (folders) are out of order and I think I have duplicates of one or two. I don't even have a picture of what it should be like. I don't want to mess with it and delete something I shouldn't. Can you help?

Hi,
if ou delete our document and you did not empty your rycle bin still there,right click our rycle bin and restore your document.or have you remember when that document created,if you do so go to all program,accessories,system tools and system restore.on system restore click a date which do you think it was there,restore your system,if you do this make sure to save other document at present on flush drive memory and go restore observe you will restart every time you restore system until definetly you got
what you document on that date,you have to be sure on the date it was there,hope this could find your document,regards

Look for the little arrow down to the left and see if it is there if so those are the duplicates also you can right click the file and see in properties when it was made that will also tell you

Sharing Your Own Computer's Stuff with the Network


To share a file or folder with your fellow computer users, move the file into your Shared Documents folder, which lives in your My Computer window. (You must move or copy a file into the Shared Documents folder; shortcuts don't always work.)

After you place your file or folder into your Shared Documents folder, it appears in the Shared Documents folder of everybody else using your computer.

Administrators can share folders without having to move them into the Shared Documents folder. The trick is to follow these steps:

1. Right-click on a folder you'd like to share and choose Sharing and Security from the pop-up menu.

Open My Computer and right-click on the folder you'd like to share. When the menu appears, select Sharing and Security. A window appears, showing the Properties for that folder. It opens to the Sharing tab.

Right-click on a folder and choose Sharing and Security to share the folder on the network.

2. Click the box marked Share This Folder on the Network.

A check mark in that box lets everybody peek at, grab, steal, change, or delete any of the files in that folder. To let visitors look inside the files but not change them, remove the check mark from the box marked Allow Network Users to Change My Files.

3. Click OK.

Now that particular folder and all its contents are available for everybody on the network to share.

Sharing a lot of folders isn't a good idea because it gives network visitors too much control over your computer. Even if you trust people, they might accidentally mess something up. To be safe, only share files by placing them in the Shared Document folder.

Inside Shared Documents live two more folders, Shared Music and Shared Pictures. Those two folders are also available to any user. So, if you want to share documents with any user of your computer, store them in the Shared Documents folder. When you make MP3s from your CDs, store them in the Shared Music folder, too, so that everybody can enjoy them.

I have a laptop DELL WINDOWS VISTA i am trying to back-up on my system and when i try as soon as it starts it stops that is all i can tell you


Unfortunately most backups that users create don't work when you really need it, nor do most recovery discs that users create. Why not just copy your My Documents folder to a USB Flash Drive or External Hard Drive. That way you'll have all your documents, music, pictures and videos. Who cares about the other stuff? You can always install the programs again. Besides most of them you don't want or use anyway and they just bloat your system. If your system crashes just reload a clean and fresh install of the operating system and then the MY Documents folder that you copies.

My user account is blocked how do i remove the account


Why would you want to remove your user account? That would delete all your documents, pictures, music, and videos. I think you need to see what is causing your user account to be blocked. Sometimes a virus can block it, so if you remove the account and not the virus, it will just attach itself to another account. How do you know it's blocked? What is is doing? I hope you're not saying you forgot the password to the user account? A virus can also HIDE the user account so that you can't see it. It can also hide the desktop so no icons appear, it can hide the My Documents folder making you think your music, picture, videos and documents have been deleted. It can even hide the windows folder making you think Windows has either been uninstalled or deleted itself.

I have a sony dsc-s750 - I have tried everything I can find to do to delete pictures after importing them and I have not been able to do it. I've been trying for 3 years. The only thing I can do is...


Use a card reader/writer.
If you don't have one on your computer, printer or an external one, then buy one.
They are not expensive.
By using an external card (most times these little readers/writers are multi-card), you don't need to start your camera or need the camera at all.
Simply remove the card, then copy all the files from the card to the computer where you want them.
My suggestion is to always make a folder or directory in the root of C. If you have more than one partition or drives, then make a folder on one of those.
The idea is to not use in Windows, My Documents or any folder under any Windows usage areas. The reason is that if Windows has some problem, what ever, such as a virus or crash, then you may have to restore Windows, and in most cases, all MY Documents, and so on will be destroyed or over written.
Make a folder where you want it, then copy all pictures and other files to it. From there you can edit or view them as you wish.

scan document/photo it will ask what format you want to scan it then it will ask where you want to save it browse select the file/folder where you want to save it my documents (my pictures) most common

Windows explorer opens in ''my documents''. Running XP

Windows explorer open in a default Folder and at your computer it opens in My Documents- folder, you kan also open windows explorer in Start (and) Music, Documents, Pictures and My Computer- folder.

How do I transfer pictures, music etc from the old computer to the new one


Several ways. Best is to get an external hard drive - they are cheap and they offer backup.

Another way is to hook up both computers on a network. can be done without a router or an ethernet hub - switch via a "cross" cable (as opposed to "patch" cable. Please be advised that the second option is by far cheaper but it could be a pain to set up properly.

Unable to stop printer from printing documents


The actual folder in Windows where spooled documents are stored just before printing is: C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS. I?ve never had print jobs hanging around after the print queue has been deleted but if you clear out anything in this folder that should take care of it.
