Payment was made to daughter. No company other than paypal. I made a mistake in her email address so she did not receive notification and therefore could not claim payment

What if I can no longer access the email address for my PayPal account?
If you can't access the email address for your PayPal account, you can change the email address you use to log in. Here's how:
  1. Go to your Settings.
  2. Click the + symbol beside "Email addresses".
  3. Enter your new email address, and click Add Email.
  4. An email confirmation will be sent to this address. Find the email in your inbox and confirm the email address.
After you confirm your new email address, you need to make it the primary email address for your account.

Paypal, I have received notification of payment how do I log in and transfer?

Go to paypal.com log in with your credentials, and within the website, look for transfer. You need the recipient email address in order to transfer.

Cancel a PayPal Payment

Buyer has my item his payment failed now he wont pay

actually your buyer can definitely cancel his/her payment on paypal since its unclaimed.. then if they dont want to continue the transaction just file a cancel transaction case on the resolution centre then wait 8days then close the case. you will not be charge for the final value fee and the case will be cancelled. :)

Sometimes with big companies like these it is hard to gather enough proof to even get their attention, but in this case it seems as though you do have a good amount of proof, especially if they told you that they were having technical difficulties at the time of the email error. From what you have posted i would say that 90% of the burden is on them and they are responsible for damages ($270), but the other 10% is that it is your responsibility to have all the records and such, if you do (which it sounds like you do), i can recommend that you get on the phone with paypal and be relentless, make sure that you have your proof ready, but again, BE RELENTLESS. Don't let them convince you that it is your fault or that it never took place, because $270 is a lot to me and you, but not to a big company like them.

I want to change my Email address

Login to your paypal account
Under the account settings you can change it
you can have i think upto 5 email addresses linked to your paypal account
you can use either of them to pay for things or to receive payments
however the one that is set as your primary email address will have the email receipts sent to it
you can choose which one you want to be primary

go to www.paypal.com, type i your ebay users name and password for your paypal accouct, and you will be able to see if the fund $$$ for the bed were transferred into your account, if you can't remember your password, paypal will email it to you.
