Control panel beeps constantly on ge model gfsf6kkycww , unplugged and plugged to reset , nothing and the beeping is constant while the alarm ,light and energy icons keeps going onoff

Ge has had a long time issue with their control boards failing and usually loses the low voltage side. I am assuming that it is not cooling at all? Do the lights inside flash as well? What happens if you try and get water? Does everything stop momentarily?

When you plug it in listen toward the lower back of the unit. As it beeps, listen for an accompanying clicking coming from the back. That is a telltale sign that the board is having an issue.

A visual inspection will sometimes show a problem whether it be a burn mark, maybe a swollen cap or sometimes it looks completely normal.

I have a 3yr old Fisher & Paykel E450R fridge that is. It cooling and iced in the top left side. Any ideas on what it could be wrong and tips for repair?

It could be a multitude of things, including gas leak, or if you transported the fridge incorrectly which has created a blockage, so it's not cycling correctly, as ice is forming in a small area of the evaporator coil.

Could also be a sensor out of range.

Wouldn't be the defrost heater as they are a low voltage heater embedded into the evap coil - and rarely fault.

Can you provide the product ID on the grey label on the bottom right of the cabinet when you open the door?

Will not cool just beep

Good Afternoon Cynthia, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

I see that your Frigidaire refrigerator, FRS3R5EMB, is constantly beeping but not cooling. Typically, this may be a warning sign of a possible malfunction or an unsafe, interior temperature. To silence the beeping, you can depress the ALARM OFF button. However, if you have already done this, try once again unplugging the unit or flipping the household circuit breaker. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn your refrigerator on. If the alarm continues, it could possibly be experiencing a communication problem with the temperature control/board or wiring failure. I would recommend connecting with a professional appliance tech for a clear-cut diagnosis.

Hi,I bought a fisher and paykel refrigerator E450r model for over 2 yrs now. Once you open the door, you can hear a beep sound. You can also hear this sound while the door is open and even when the door is...

I unfortunately bought the F & P 450R upright fridge with the matching freezer, recommended to us by Winnings. Expensive and possibly the worst ever appliance purchase I have made. The door handle design is pathetic and once again today, has come apart. The fridge constantly freezes up which then affects the fan, which in turn stops the fridge getting cold. To date, we have had the F & P service out, he first said he needed to get it back to the factory and we'd be up for about $900. After we advised that wasn't happening, he replaced the control unit, which had didn't clear the problem (although still cost me $300). Having no confidence in F & P, we contacted a fridge mechanic with a good name. He closed his eyes when he saw the brand and mumbled, Kiwi's revenge. Long story short, over 3 visits he, adjusted the inadequate door sensor, refitted a temp sensor which had broken from its poorly designed plastic holder, replaced all the sensors and in the end said sorry, but you have bought a lemon. I now have a choice of buying a new fridge which wont match the freezer, buy a new fridge and freezer, even though the freezer is fine, or continue with what we do now, turn the fridge off every other day for 4 or 5 hours to defrost it. My solution, do not go near Fisher and Paykel, the service and machines are just not up to it.

New Fridge beeping but no cooling

if the compressor is running your ref. should be getting cold. Their is a defrost timer but when it is in defrost the compressor shuts off. I think you do have a leak.
