Question about Procom Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

We have a procom small gas heater. We will have it on and all of sudden it will make a booming noise and go out. We will turn off and then restart and it starts and is good for awhile.

The noise could be a build up of unburnt gas ( slow leak in the line before the jet) that reaches a point where it ignites and blows out the jet flame
This is a situation that you need to get a gas fitter in to find the fault or the next big boom could be the house exploding

My procom heaters pilot stays on fine but when i turn it to on the flame goes down and heater goes out

I wold check gas pressure to your heater. If it's natural gas it should be about 4 ounces at gas valve. If it's propane/L.P. it shoul be about 7 ounces. If you have a gauge that you can check the pressure with there is usually a port on gas valve that is plugged and usually stamped test. Hope this helps you, Thanks

Looking for: ProCom Model MNO60HBA (about 3 years old) 6000BTU-Natural Gas-Serial#3620775. I want 3 of the plastic like adjuster knobs on top of the heater. Not the igniter button but the one to allow gas...

Control knobs can be purchased from Procom customer service at 877-886-5989. If you can't find them there, call Kozy World's customer service department at 800-776-9425 and tell them you need a control knob for a KWN109 (same size heater, manufactured by Procom, so same control knob).

Pilot goes out!!

My manual shows three possibilities:  1) Insufficient fresh air available for combustion, so ODS kicks off gas flow 2) Low gas line pressure (should be between 11 and 14") or 3) ODS/Pilot is partially clogged.  Toll free number for ProCom is 877-886-5989.
