This is a very common problem with your tv, what has most likely happened (about 90% of the time) is the power supply has failed, more specifically there are a few caps in the power supply that have most likely failed. The unit will require component replacement to get it working again. .

A videi tape got stuck inside of those tv's that allow you to watch tv or have a video tape in it at the same time.

Well it has happened with one of those tv's at my Gido's house in Windsor well a person that fixes theese electronics might be able to take out the tape and fix that tv then.

Insignia 27" tv, unit takes a long time to come

Unfortunately this is probably a hardware problem, hopefully you got it form Best Buy and it is under the 2 year warranty. The sad fact is Insignia TVs just don't last, however it might be something minor that a repair shop can fix. So I would take it into a repair shop and after they say it will take $400 dollars to fix it, chuck it and get a new TV.

Hi,
Did you replaced/ took out lamp from tv to inspect it?
3 times red light flashing shows that lamp cover has not been fixed on tv, lamp cover is first thing that needs to remove to take out lamp from tv.
Please check lamp cover and make sure it is fixed properly on tv.
