Question about Dishwashers
My dishwasher only works 10% of the time, 90% of the time it gives 10 beeps along with 4 flashing lights every 30 seconds. I've checked the water pressure and the pipes & drain are clear. Built-in dishwasher 2years old Should I just give up and buy a new one?

The main control board is likely defective, the cost is about $200+ to repair. Is it fairly new?? If not replace it, stay away from touch controls (solid stat control panels), go as basic as possible, they last much longer.

SOURCE: fast and delicate flashing
Your control panel is bad.My advice is use your warranty if you have it .If you don't ,toss this machine out, there should have been a re-call on this .You are one of many many that are having to deal with a problem that the manufacturer should be liable for. Dont't let GE (hotpoint) go not knowing that your D/W is broken ,look for a class action law suit to be in the making, which is not enough to correct the problems at hand .I don't advise repairing this unless there is a modified part to replace the defective one. Again I'm with you on this ,and sorry for all the consumers that are ripped off by manufacturers (in my eyes) . Please rate this !

holding the button for four seconds will not do it, you have to hold it until the light stops blinking and
will go back to normal, normall takes more than four seconds to unlock the unit, this is something
the sears repair techs know becouse the are trained on all this things but, they will not share this things, becouse thats how they make money

This is built-in dishwasher that is why water acumulates under machine and "leak cut off switch" turn off machine. You can't reset machine while you have water under, machine telling you there is a problem, but Haier wan't put solution on their site - Haier suport is very bad. Sorry for English and hope this help.
