Depending on if it is an android windows or apple phone? If its android most are the same process. If you go into your dialer and type the number in a "add to contacts" will pop up on the screen hit that and it will take you to the v card page enter their name and whatever else you want and hit save. Most phones will give you the option to save to sim card, save to phone, or save to google . I always save to Google that way if you loose your phone all your contacts are backed up. Windows phones and apple phones are the same steps.

Dear Sir, I am using Samsung SJ700 mobile phone. And sometimes I get incoming call with no number displayed on the screen. It just shows incoming call. Can you pls help me in sorting out this...

This happens when two or more similar (saving one number with different names) contacts is saved on your phonebook, i.e. if you've saved my number on the sim card with a name and at the same time you have my number (same number) on your phone's memory, the caller id will not be displayed, you'll only see the "Incoming Call" or "Call". So I would suggest you to please check the phonebook and delete (keep only one per number) if there are multiple similar contacts saved on your phonebook.

You can also reset the phone to Factory default, in case there's no problem with your phonebook/contacts.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Got a new phone need my old numbers how can i pull up my call log

there is no shortcut for that. what you need to do on your old phone is to save on the phonebook all the other number on your call logs then transfer whole phonebook to the new phone.

Message appear the contact number not name

Ive has this problem before, this normally happens if you have your contacts saves twice in your phonebook, for instanse if you have them saved to the SIM and the phone. Try deleting either all SIM contacts or all phone contacts, your messages should then show as the name you have it saved as in your phonebook.

Thats not atall software prob buddy. You verify that your messages are saved on phone memory and that you are not using SIM stored numbers. You can surely backup all phone memory numbers to SIM by copying.

most of the SE phone have two types of contact saving

1- in phone memory
2- in SIM card memory

if u have contacts saved in SIM memory but u r using
phonebook memory then it is default

if u save any contact in phone memory u have an option too
to copy it to SIM memory

for deleting a contact it will behave like this:
for example, u have a contact saved in phone memory
as well as in SIM memory
if u delete this contact, then it will be deleted from phone
memory but not from SIM memory

and when u are called from same number
(which is not present in Phone memory but is in SIM)
it displays the name again

Phonebook access

i can help... i have incurred this problem a couple of times and understand the frustration! firstly, the reason why snd how this problem occurs is you have saved a number to your phonebook without a name and this causes the phone book to wig-out! to fix the issue simply press "1#". This will allow you to view your phone book in its speed dial order. Scroll through this menu until you find the saved number without the name and DELETE it. This will immediately bring your phone book back to normal. Good luck!
