My device has stopped working. I can't get on wifi -- don't remember my password.

Passwords are case sensitive. Modem passwords are usually strong and a mix of uppercase, lower case and numbers. Make sure they are as shown. It is often better to get someone to read them out to you.

Failing that, find the reset button on the back of the modem, reset it and then set up a new password using your computer. Print off the password and stick it to the back of the modem after removing the old passwords. Remember that you will have to change the password on all your devices. You could also check that the modem options on the computer show you the password in text rather than dots or asterisks.

Did you forget the password used to unlock your Kindle? If so, you'll need to reset the device to gain access. By resetting, your Kindle will be restored to factory defaults, which means your registration information and content will be removed, and all settings will return to the defaults.

To reset a Kindle Fire 1st Generation:
1. From the lock screen, slide the Unlock Bar from right to left
2. Use the keypad to enter characters into the password/PIN field four times
3. You'll be prompted to reset your Kindle Fire. Tap "Ok reset"

To reset all other Kindle Fire models:
1. From the lock screen, slide the Unlock Bar from right to left
2. Use the keypad to enter characters into the password/PIN field five times.
3. When prompted to reset your Kindle Fire, tap "Reset"

To reset a Kindle 2nd Generation, Kindle Keyboard, or Kindle DX:
1. Slide and release the power switch to turn on the device or exit sleep mode
2. Enter "resetmykindle" in the password field and press the enter key on the key pad
3. Wait several minutes while your Kindle restarts

To reset a Kindle (5-way controller):
1. Press and release the power button to turn on the device or exit sleep mode
2. Select the keyboard key once on the password screen and enter "resetmykindle" in the password field, then select "Enter"

To reset a Kindle Touch or Kindle Paperwhite:
1. Press and release the power button to turn on the device or exit sleep mode
2. Tap the password field to bring up the onscreen keyboard
3. Enter "111222777" and select "OK"

If you don't remember your Parental Controls password, you can deregister your device instead of resetting, as long as you're connected to a wireless network. You'll need to redownload your content, but items that were transferred via USB will be kept. Here's what to do:

1. Visit the Manage Your Content and Devices (www.amazon.com/manageyourkindle) page on your computer
2. Select the "Manage Your Devices" link
3. Select "Deregister" to deregister your device from your account
Sync your Kindle, then register again.

If you need help with your Wi-Fi password, please contact your Internet Service Provider or router manufacturer.

If it is the Amazon.com account password then go online and change your password. If the device password then try the following:

Sometimes on a different system letters and ponctuations are not exactly at the same place or are not using the exact the same police..

I would try to use a computer that the password work on , and modify it by using simple character just to make sure it is working on your android.....
Once you have access on your new device you will be able to re modify it with characters recognised by the 2 device

Password soft ware for accer laptop

Most people need to remember several passwords to different websites and computers.
Creating a strong password that is hard to guess is important, especially when it protects your personal or financial information.

Check the password management rules for the password you are creating.
Some sites have very "strict" rules, which means they limit the minimum and maximum size, or force you to use different characters like uppercase, lowercase, numbers or symbols.
Read the rules and make sure you understand them.
You probably already have a password you use frequently, but the problem with reusing passwords is that if one of them is discovered, everything is lost.
Think of a simple word that will be very easy for you to remember, for example "summer."

Now comes the simple trick that will help you create a strong password of almost any length.
Use the "@" character, known as the at sign at the end of the word you came up with in step 2. So now our example is "summer@."

Now finish the sentence with an easy-to-remember domain name.
A domain name is the name of a website, like "google.com."
But in this case, it can be anything you want, even a site that doesn't exist.
Pick something that makes sense with your base password, write down the first few things you think of when you think of that word.
So in our example, you can use "camp.com" as a password domain.

Putting it all together, the password is "summer@camp.com."
This is a 15-character password that uses multiple symbols, otherwise known as a strong password.
It's also very easy to remember.
Since we have become conditioned to remember email addresses with the "@" character, this memory device lets us easily recall our passwords.
To avoid Key loggers you should make word copy of your password and copy and paste it into any sites a password is needed to access the site.

I dont know how to get a password on my nokia x6 - like when i go to my messages or images ect.. - i just want a password thing so only i can get in, anybody know how...? thanks x

Select Menu > Settings and Phone > Phone mgmt. > Security > Phone and SIM card. > Lock Code

The lock code is used to unlock the device. To avoid unauthorised use of your device, change the lock code. The preset code is 12345. The new code can be 4-255 characters long. Alphanumeric characters and both uppercase and lowercase characters can be used. The device notifies you if the lock code is not properly formatted.

Getting a validating identity message that stays there for minutes then I get little or no connectivity. Using WPA-personal with a 12 character password

I think the problem is the little or no connectivity. If you're not getting a good signal the verification process with your WPA and password is timing out before you can get verified. You probably need to turn antenna or get less blockage between you and source before trying.

Blackberry Locked Up

Hi there;

Looks like you either forgot your password or not typing the password in correctly. I have done that many times - I found when using the multiple character keybord i was typing the wrong character. Double check what you are actually typing in.

So, the message means the device will reset as in it will wipe all the data to standard settings after 6 attempts.

Just a protection system on BB's. Your device will perfectly fine once your device resets and you can enter a new password :o) but you will loose all the data like emails/txts/calender/notes from the device.

I hope this Helps,

Thanks.

Mermory code lock

Select the memory card folder and Options > Set password. The password can be up to eight characters long. The password
is stored in your device, and you do not have to enter it again while you are using the memory card on the same device. If you
want to use the memory card on another device, you are asked for the password.
