The least amount is 202 tiles, assuming you use all the scraps, and break none. I would get at least 10 more to be safe and have replacements in case something happens to one.

How many linear feet is in 18square feet

You would need the dimensions of the item that you are trying to calculate the distance on. For example, a 12 inch by 12 inch tile is one square foot. 18 of them would be 18 square feet. If you place them end-to-end you would have 18 linear feet. However, if you had a 6 inch by 12 inch tile, it would take 36 of them to get 18 square feet. If you lined the tiles up in a row on the 6 inch side, you would have 18 linear feet. If you lined them up on the 12 inch side, you would have 36 linear feet. Linear feet does not take into account width, only length. So trying to translate a 2-dimensional value into a 1-dimensional value is difficult if not impossible without more details.

How many 2-inch tiles need to cover 170 square-foot

A two-inch by two-inch tile covers 4 square inches. There are 144 square inches in a square foot, so 36 tiles are needed to cover one square foot. To cover 170 square feet you need 170 times 36 or 6120 tiles.

I have a flooring which is 4 meters by 4 meters i will be using a 16 x 16 tiles how many tiles to i need

40-60 tiles depending on what is in the room.If it is a water closet around 40 if it is a wide open room and the whole floor is to be covered,it will take closer to 60 tiles.I would go with a few more tiles than I needed just in case one breaks or a bad cut is made.It is better to have a lil extra than not enough.
