Avital Remote starter LED light wont come back on. Help please.

I installed an Avital 4103 L remote starter. I had one fob paired, then accidentally zapped the starter with the bitwriter. The remote start box is no longer responding for me to pair the remote again. Please help.

SOURCE: replacement remote for avital 477L. how do i pair

Hi,

Here I am described four ways to pair the alarm with the remote.
1st way:
Put the key in your vehicle's ignition and make sure all the doors and the trunk are closed.
Turn the key two clicks to the right, one click short of the "Start" position before you do anything with your replacement remote.
Press and release the "Override" button on your remote car alarm remote five times in less than eight seconds.
Press the "Lock" button on your car alarm remote.

2nd way
Purchase a new remote from the dealership or automotive store where your alarm system was installed. Make sure the remote is the same brand as the system that you have installed.
Sit in your car with your remote and ignition key. Insert the key into the ignition, turn it to the "ACC," or Accessories, position and leave the driver's door open.
Wait for the chimes to stop and press the "Valet" button on your remote.
Wait for the alarm to chirp once, press and hold the "Valet" button again and press the button you would like to program; do this while holding the "Valet" button.
Wait for the horn to chirp again and release the button that you are programming. Release the "Valet" button and remove your key from the ignition to end the programming of the new remote.
3rd way

if it has the button in the antenna. Turn the ignition on then off within 7 seconds hit the button(antenna button) 5 times it will chirp (telling you it's in program mode) if you have viper two button hit both buttons at the same time do both remotes one after the other (led will flash to confirm programming is done) this should fix your problem.

4th way
Click on the following link and go to the page no 3 and 4???
http://www.directeddealers.com/manuals/og/avital/G834002_07-04.pdf
LCD 2-way configuration, Standard 4-button configuration.
It will solve your problem. Best of luck.

It is not likely that they could be used interchangably. The reason is the narrow radio spectrum that is used and the desire for such companies to produce proprietary pieces.

It is is possible if you were to get a Fob for a 4103 off Ebay for example, they could be resynched. But the remote start is going to have a different signal than the remote door lock. just so they can be operated independent of each other. So it is not likely the 2101 would do more than sync to the door locks.

I have a Dodge Caravan 2001 SE. Had the Avital 4103 installed. My question is, before installation i had a Chrysler car alarm in the van. When the remote start was installed they removed the alarm.
The shut down toggle switch was not installed, also the push button valet switch was not installed also. Is this a correct installation, I was told that I did not need the last two items to be installed.
