Pressing print screen itself does nothing noticeably. To capture your screen press ctrl + print screen or just print screen. Open up paint or a word document and paste it into it by pressing ctrl + v. An image of the previous screen capture should appear.

How to print screen? I want to do screen captures

Screen capture and print can be done with a program called Faststone Capture. I have used for years, works great. Also allows you to edit a capture and put in arrows to point things out, very handy when sending someone a photo of a broken item and you want to point out what is broken.

How do i use the boxed options on certain keys?

Prt SC (Print Screen) does NOT send the screen to the printer!!
If your windows desktop is showing, Print Screen will capture the ENTIRE screen to the clipboard - Open Paint and Ctrl-V to paste the captured image into paint (or other graphics program).
If you want to capture only the active screen, use Alt-Prt Sc and do the same with it.

How do i print screen using "smart office keyboard

Hi there!

Just press the print screen button located in the upper right of your keyboard. (Prtsc key) and open the paint program (located in accessories folder). Once you open a new file, paste it from there or press ctrl key+ V key to paste. And then you can print it or save it to your computer.

This should solve your problem.

Print screen doesn´t work

If the print screen button doesn't work, try to use Alt + Print Screen. If that doesn't work either, then try to re-install the software that came with your keyboard (if there is).

However, for most multi-media keyboards and mice, the CD that comes with them usually made to program the special buttons only. But I'm not sure in your case. There could be an option for you to re-program the buttons on your end, including the Print Screen button.

But if there's no way to re-program it and the Alt + Print Screen didn't help, then you may want to send the keyboard to the reseller or manufacturer for repair. It's a hardware defect.

Thank you and good luck!

I'm tring to use a print screen to send out a report and I cant remember how to insert the print screen

The way I do it is to save the window image by pressing print screen and then pasting the saved image into Paintbrush. You can save it as a jpg instead of a bmp, if you like. Then you simply attach the saved image file to your email.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

My Compaq keyboard won't display ''print screen'' when I press that key (prt scr). Everything else works fine on the keyboard. I purchased the computer/keyboard about 7 years ago. Thanks very much for any...

The print screen button doesn't usually do/display anything other then pasting the image on the screen to the clipboard. go into another application like word or paint and select ctrl+v to paste (or right click then select paste) If you hold Ctrl then press print screen, it will only copy the open window.
