My hoover max extract dual v stopped sucking up the water on just its second use. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

The most likely problem is there is a restriction somewhere or a suction leak. Check to make sure you have good suction where the waste water tank fits down onto the machine. Make sure the lid is on the waste water tank and follow the flow of suction from the machine through the waste tank down to the floor and look for debris clogs or any area where there may be a suction leak. If you have good suction coming from the machine the problem has to be somewhere between there and where the water is being sucked off of the floor.

My Hoover steamvac is not sucking up water

The most common reason for lack of pick up on the F5800 or F5900 series is that the lid is not fully seated on the dirty water tank. Be sure to hook the two tabs on the front of the lid, and then snap the rear latch into place. Another reason is that the duct on the front of the dirty water tank is missing. The duct may have been removed to install the hose, and was not put back in place. It is a square plastic piece, about the size of a slice of sandwich bread, which slides into the front of the tank. A far less common reason for no pick-up is that the seal that the tank sits on has fallen off the motor cover suction tube. You will see a round tube on the bottom of the dirty water tank. This sits on top of a large rubber seal on the motor cover when the tank is in place. Be sure the seal has not fallen down into the hood.

Hoover shampooer not sucking up dirty water, only small amount in container and used 3/4 of shampoo

You did not say which model this is, but if it is the F5800 or F5900 series, the most common reason for lack of pick up is that the lid is not fully seated on the dirty water tank. Be sure to hook the two tabs on the front of the lid, and then snap the rear latch into place. Another reason is that the duct on the front of the dirty water tank is missing. When I use the hoover steam vac the bottom tank does not have any dirty water or anything in it, I bought it from a neighbor I wonder if I have it hooked up right.

If the motor runs and the water is not sucked up it is due to an air leak. This is most often caused by the lid not being properly seated on the dirty water tank. Be sure the lid is on squarely all around. Another common problem is that the duct is missing from the dirty water tank. This occurs on the models which have the more "square" shaped tank, with a foot operated on/off switch. The duct slides into the front of the lower tank, and is removed to attach the hose. It may have not been put back in place by the last user. A less common problem is that the large round rubber gasket that the tank sits on has fallen off the tube that comes up from the motor cover. Look for the gasket by removing the tank and checking underneath it.

My Hoover SteamVac Max Extract 77's dirty water tank won't fill. The water seems to just filter right back to the floor. What do i do???

There are several possibilities for low pick up. The most common problem is that the lid is not correctly seated on the recovery (lower) tank. It is also possible that the rubber seal on the motor standpipe is out of place. The round tube on the bottom of the tank sits against the seal. Remove the tank and look for a large rubber ring on top of a plastic pipe. A less common issue is damage to the rug nozzle because the screws holding it against the carpet have been broken loose by dropping the shampooer on it's nose.

Hoover f7452900 brushes wont turn?

make sure that you have it on the carpet setting and not the hardwood/tile setting. also if you used the hose, make sure that the little door is closed. if all checked... remove the recovery tank, there should be a rubber grament on the stand pipe under the tank, if it is there, then it would have to be the turbine assembly that drives the brushes

Hoover steam vac not sucking water back up i have super wet floors and no water in recovery tank

I think it is the gasket on top and bottom of the plastic chanel that takes the water up to the dirty water holding tank , Part of the rubber gasket is missing on both the top and bottom. This will alow
air to come in and thus you loose the suction to empty the water into the dirty water bin. My unit is hoover steam vac model F60220-900. I need to know where to get the gaskets.

HOOVER SPINSCRUB WONT SUCK UP WATER...BLOWING AIR OUT

ITS THE DUCT PIECE ON THE FRONT OF THE DIRTY WATER TANK (DWT). ITS NOT LINED UP.
1. TAKE LID OFF OF DWT
2. SLIDE THE LITTLE SQUARE PIECE (5'X5'X1) (THE DUCT) ON THE FRONT OF THE DWT AS FAR UP AS POSSIBLE AND IF IT BENDS FORWARD FROM THE TOP, DO THAT TOO (SOME MODELS OPEN LIKE A DOOR TOP DOWN, OTHERS JUST SLIDE UP AND OUT COMPLETELY)
3. SLIDE THAT DUCT BACK DOWN AS FAR DOWN AND BACK AS IT WILL GO.
4. PUT THE LID BACK ON BY HINGING THE FRONT LATCHES ON AND THEN SNAPPING THE BACK SIDE DOWN.
5. CHECK TO SEE IF THAT DUCT PIECE ON THE FRONT IS LOOSE BY PUSHING ON IT AND SEEING IF IT MOVES UP AND DOWN.
IF IT IS, THE LID ISNT COMPLETELY ON, GO BACK TO STEP 4.
IF THE DUCT IS SNUG, CONGRATS YOU SHOULD HAVE JUST MADE YOUR STEAM VAC **** UP THE WATER AGAIN
