Question about Sewing Machines
Most likely the stitch length is set to a very small stitch. The higher the number, the longer the stitch. If not that, then the feed dogs are not advancing as they should. If it is an older mechanical machine, something like this often happens because the machine has not been thoroughly cleaned and oiled regularly. The old oil dries up and restricts the moving parts.
