Problem for HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Paper feed

I am printing labels (avery 5294 - 12 2.5 " diameter circles on an 8.5 x 11).

The machine will not consistently start printing with the same margin on top. I try to set the label sheets in one at a time in exactly the same way, Sometimes it prints early, sometimes late. At any rate I'm not hitting my labels! Is this a cleaning problem?

-   Same problem here. Someone said the rollers are slipping, but I don't think so because when I load the same label paper in, it prints it again in the same exact spot, about a half inch higher than it should. If the rollers were slipping, wouldn't it print more randomly? I think it's a bug with the driver. Does anyone know of any driver updates that would fix this?-   Guest

-   My printer does the same thing with labels! It drives me nuts! I'll adjust all the margins as per set-up page instructions off my Avery labels and it still misses it's mark. I've tried several types of label pages, standard, glossy, non-glossy...etc and regardless..... What else can be done?-   Guest

-   I was just trying to print Avery labels 8962 and it won't feed the labels properly. It starts printing at least .5 inchs higher than it should on the label paper. On regular paper it prints perfeclty.

Any ideas?

The feed rollers are slipping on the surface of the label, causing the page to load incorrectly. There is no permanent solution at this time. Try one of the following workarounds to correct this issue. Workarounds Workaround 1 Adjust the top margin using Page Setup.
  1. Click File , then Page Setup in the program being used, (accessing Page Setup may vary from program to program. Refer to the Help file for that program).
  2. Adjust the top margin until printing is correct on the label.
Workaround 2 Manually print one sheet at a time. Place one sheet of labels in the input tray at a time, printing only that page. Repeat for all pages of labels needed.
