My network setup is asking for a pin number that is on my router. Obviously there is no pin number for this particular router and my network is asking for a 4 or 8 digit number. What do I do?

If its asking for a pin number I would check the sticker on the bottom of the router. it may have the router PIN you are looking for. If not trying typing in your internet browser address bar 192.168.1.1 and find the network settings and see if there is a pin set up, if so write it down or clear it to have no PIN

I have an old Magellan Meridian XL that has the power cable missing and I cannot locate another cable. Anyone know the pin configuration so I can make up a cable ? Power only, no data in and out.

Hi yakabofski!

There are TWO configurations of the pins with these units. We have the FIVE-pin config and the assignments are as follows:

Top pin- 12v
Bottom pin- ground.

Hope this helps.

CHARGING FAULT

hi friend,
step 1
Make sure you have all of the accessories. Some phones need special adapters for charging. If you're having problems fitting the charger into your cigarette lighter socket, check with your cell phone company. You may need an adapter ring.
  • Step 2 Find the right battery. Certain phones can only be used with batteries from the same company. If you are using a counterfeit battery, be aware that you may not be able to charge it with your current set up.
  • Step 3 Read the manual. Something as simple as charging a battery may take specific instructions. For example, some cell batteries need to be charged immediately while others come fully charged.
  • Step 4 Use your charger. Most cell phone chargers are easy to use plugging right into your phone and home outlet or car electrical cigarette socket. Read your manual on specific steps needed for charging your phone.
  • Step 5 Try Cellboosts. These convenient devices are disposable battery packs that plug into your phone, charging it when the charger isn't accessible. Cellboosts usually last for an hour and are not compatible with all cell phones.
  • Step 6 Go solar. This innovation allows you to charge your phone wherever there is light. Just attach your cell to a portable adapter and let the light do the rest
  • hope this helps u

Phone sits on charger all day but then goes flat after 2 mins,

This intrigued me. A 'unique means'! Although the instructions warned not to open the unit, I fearlessly went ahead and opened up a Cellboost to see what unique technologies were inside.
Ummm. There were four small batteries joined in series (to provide the power) and a 2 ohm resistor also in series (to provide a simplistic and inefficient voltage control). Nothing else.
Unique? No. But, the simplicity of the unit is not a bad thing, and in no way detracts from its functionality.
    Cost
The Cellboost units generally cost the same, no matter which model type you get (the only difference is the adapter on the top, which varies to fit the different cell phone charger sockets). I've seen them for sale as low as $6 each at PCMall.com. They're also available at a growing number of electronics and phone retail outlets.

    Need master slave configuration

    Hello,

You should have a jumper configuration written somewhere on the front (up) side of the hard Disk ... Look there, or look just around the Pins... Look for M, S, CS (Master, Slave, Cable Select)
