SOURCE: Electric wall mounted heater

Make sure that the heater is mounted where convection currents occur freely. When heat builds up around the top of the heater its temperature will rise uncontrollably. You'll be luck not to get a fire.

SOURCE: I have a Williams Ceramic Gas Wall Mounted Panel

Jump the two wires going to the thermostat, if it starts , you have either a bad thermostat or a broken thermostat wire. If it does not fire up, you will need to check for 24 volts AC going to the gas valve from the transformer. If you have voltage, you have a gas valve issue. If no voltage, check for a limit switch that may have overheated with an Ohm meter. If they all test good, replace the transformer.

SOURCE: This electric baseboard heater will be wallr

Mel, if you wave wall to wall carpeting, it should be about 1 1/2" off the carpeting. If you have hardwood floors 1/2" will suffice.

Hope this helped you.

SOURCE: My wind chaser room heater won't work. Can I fix

If you have gas to the gas valve you need to clean the pilot orifice, I would depress the pilot valve while the tubing was off to test the valves ability to flow gas to the port.

Hello i have a williams wall Furnace model#25-35-50. I need to know if its a base board heat and also if you could tell me which wires are which. 1 red and 1 white

What you have is a Direct Vent, Gas WALL Heater. It is normally mounted about 6" off the floor on an exterior wall (since it has to be direct vented out). Not sure what the red and white wires are for, but suspect it's for the optional thermostatically controlled blower connection.

In any event, to help you install this heater properly, I have included a link to the Owner/Installation Manual, which should provide all the information you need to complete the installation correctly.

You can download and print the manual for future reference.

There is a high pitched sound coming from my heater, even when the thermostat is turned off. The sound is similar to when you are close to an electrical tower. Please advise

If you have a fan blower on your heater, it may be that the motor shaft is stuck and you're hearing the motor humming. Which, if it is, will burn out the motor.

Here's a link to the Williams website. There you can download the Owners Manual for your Model Number heater. There is a good Trouble Shooting Guide in it, which may also provide more info on what's causing the humming noise.

Hope this helps you solve the problem.

Lasko 5141 - I set the temp to hold @ 68 degrees at night but it seems to ignore the setting and gets into the high 70's. This is with the rotation switch on if that makes a difference. Any Help ? Thanks

Remember it is always colder at the floor level, the heater is pretty close to temp when it is above 40 degrees outside, but as the temperature gets colder outside so does the temperature at the floor level in your house because heat rises.

I use my house furnace thermostat mounted half way up the wall as a guide, When the temp outside is in the teens, I have seen as much difference between the floor temp on the heater and the wall to be 4-6 degrees different. So this means as the tempurature outside drops you need to regulate the thermostat on the heater downward to compensate for the colder floor temperatures.

How can I install the heater?

Can you please describe the electrical specifications on the unit and in the manual (i.e. amps, electrical phase (single or 3 phase) and voltage requirement)? This will dictate the install.

Does the unit have a motor or fan?
