Hi, the buttons B & C are jammed on my Seiko 7T92 wrist watch. Is there a lubricant or substance I can use without effecting the watch to free these buttons?

With Seiko, the best thing is to send it to Seiko for service. They will clean it and replace all the gaskets on the buttons, and pressure test it.

If you want to try yourself. It is waterproof, yes? Soak for a couple of hours in warm soapy water. Lift out, dry, and try the buttons. If they are now free, spray with Jigaloo, which is a dry silicone spray and work into the buttons.

Remove the centre? Aren't they side buttons like mine, 2 either side and a winder on the right side.

No, 2 buttons on winder side and to soak in warm water I would assume the mechanics of the watch would need to be removed so that the case can then be submerged and soak for a while hopefully freeing the buttons. The the centre is easy enough to remove. Unlike most winder shafts where a pressing down to release the winder shaft is required in this model the retaining lever just needs to be held where it is so it doesn't stop the winder from being removed.
    Cheers.

Mine is waterproof to 50 metres, and the back screws on. If you can remove the works, then great, do it, as the warm water can penetrate from both sides.

Yep, mine is water resistant with pop off back.
But the trick was to learn how to remove the crown and shaft:-)
    Thanks Andrew.

Hi, got a seiko 7T92, the stopwatch second hand, can this be made to work as a second hand or is it only for the stopwatch function, it's annoying that it's still all the time!

If you can have both clocks running at same time, yes but they'll be on different screens. you just have to go back and forth between screens.

My Seiko SNA548 Coutura watch slows down. I replaced the battery and it still slows down especially during cold weather. Could it be the the lubricants in the watch are causing the problem?

isnt that model kinetic? if so, if you arent doing about four minutes of aerobic activity in the course of the day, it will go dead. if for some reason you cant (or dont) get much activity, take the ****** off and shake it for a while

Hi, I am a seiko 8f33 perpetual calendar watch. I just got it back from Seiko...had the battery changed and new band. the problem is that I tried to set the date and the watch stopped working. Does...

Hi,
If your watch stopped working while changing the time it can be for a couple of reason . One is i never set the watch between the hours of 11 pm and 4 am or else your movement can be damaged. The main reason is usually that the watch crown was not pushed all the way in to the first set . If the watch crown and stem is pulled out and not in the start position the watch will not run. Also after setting time you might need to reengage the watch by pressing on the jumper buttons on the top side of the crown they look like push buttons.

0512037FA Wrist Watch: how do you set the date in the window of a seiko 6...

mcdevito75 here, The stem should have 2 positions to set the DATE without haveing to cycle the watch 60 times. Slip a finger nail just under the crown and gently, gently lift the crown to it's first position, it may take practice so be patient, once in it"s first position you can easily change the DATE, change it to 1 DATE before the DATE you want. NOW! push the stem back in and then pull it out to set the proper DATE and time of day, your watch is set and will change on time, around Mid Nite.

Second hand doesent return to 1200 position after replace batt

I just replaced the battery in my 20yr old Seiko chrono sports 100. And I had the same problem. I think I stopped it on 12 while in stopwatch mode and held down the start stop button and the set button at the same time. See if that works dude.

I have a seiko flight watch, unknown of the model, second hand doesn't reset

I guess the blue faced SEIKO is a Flightmaster (Model: 7T92- OCFO)and it is a great watch. This is a common problem with most chronographs and this happens due to misalignment with usage.

All you need to do is pull out the locking crown all the way out (2nd Step) as if setting time. and then press and hold the top / left button and at first the milli seconds hand resets. after which you have to press the borrom / right button to move the seconds hand in to place. and then reset the time and lock the crown. You can repeat this for Milli Seconds, Seconds, Minutes & hours hands.
Hope this helps,
Krishna Chaitanya GT.
