To check it out . find the phone number for market force from a phone directory ( not from a link on the e-mail) and ask them direct
most likely that it is a scam
another way to see if it is legit, just press reply in the tool bar and when a new e-mail is opened up , in the dialogue section type in --are you for real
I'm betting that you will get a message back --unable to deliver e-mail, check address --which means that the e-mail is a scam

Got Certified Award Letter in mail stating I won above amt. Need to send $12.99

Sounds like a scam, smells like a scam. Regular mail or email? If email definitely a scam. Did you have to sign for the letter? What was the amount you supposedly won? If it runs to millions of dollars definitely a scam. Can you give me a name of the company or the full name of the person who signed the letter please. Post as a COMMENT to this post.

    Hi there!
First, I would suggest that you need to stick with your listing and report the emails to spoof@ebay.com if you are getting the emails in your personal email account. But if the buyer is so sure to buy the item, you can then list the item as a buy it now for the price they wanted to pay for it. But if it feels too good to be true, I suggest not to continue and report it.
I hope this helps you out a bit. Have a great day!.
