My opinion Meow Mix is not very good or healthy, it's like fast food. It's only my opinion.

What does food expiration code AUG06215H53 mean?


That could mean august 2006 but read up on expiration codes. There are fine articles on the amount of waste of food in the modern world. Alot of it is from lack of knowledge or the quest to only eat the finest freshest newest and leave the rest for the middle and lower classes or dispose of or use for cattle feed. The truth is that the date codes or best before dates are for the supermarket to know when to put the newer foods with the newer marketing strategies up on the shelves. It may be expired for them but not for the consumer. At times it may be expired but only because the colour may start to change or it may not represent the company the best. Some who go to extremes may argue that there is less nutrition if a product isn't the freshest. Some argue that any processing at all has already ruined the nutrition. I say you can eat these products even 7 years past the due date. Canned goods can be good even 20 years later. Try making the meal. Once you open it smell for mold or an off smell... if so discard. During war times or famine many would love to have even that.

What characterizes whole grains and refined grains?


Whole grains are grains that have the entire grain kernel: the bran, germ, and endosperm. for example, whole wheat flour is a whole grain.
Refined grains have been milled, so do not have the bran and germ. This makes the grain finer and it will last longer, but it takes out the vitamin B. iron, and dietary fibers. An example of a refined grain is white flour.

1. Figure out the number of calories that you normally consume in a day. Do this by keeping a food journal for a week. Refer to a calorie-counting book to add up the daily calories, and divide the total by seven. That will give you your average daily calorie total.

2. To gain two pounds per week, you'll need to add an additional 7,000 calories to your week, or 1,000 calories per day. To gain one pound per week, you'll have to add 500 calories per day. That may sound daunting, but by making some simple switches in your meals, you can safely pack on some pounds.

3.Increase portion sizes of healthy foods. Adding an extra two ounces of lean chicken to your dinner will give you an additional 100 calories. Adding a whole avocado to your salad will add 322 calories, according to CalorieKing, a diet and weight loss website.

4.Eat more frequently throughout the day. Adding a fourth meal of fruit, whole grains and nuts -- such as a peanut butter sandwich and a banana -- will boost your calorie count for the day by as much as 35 percent. Pizza dough sticks like glue on my Hamilton Beach pizza stone


There are about three things you might consider.
First, you can sprinkle corn meal lightly on the stone and this will help prevent your pizza dough from sticking.
If you're already doing this, you might try spraying with a pan coating before you sprinkle the corn meal on the stone.
Additionally, most of these stones require "seasoning" which is done by rubbing the stone lightly with vegetable oil and placing into the oven at about 300 degrees. Let it heat until the oil starts to smoke. Turn off the oven and let the stone remain in there until it cools. DO NOT WASH IN SOAP AND WATER.Just use a damp cloth to clean.
