To make sure that the external speaker is good or deffective try to use others speaker. If the other speaker work it means that your speaker is deffective and if the other speaker not work it means that the problem is the sound output amplifier or driver of the TV.You need to check the inner part othe TV.The board of the TV inside at the sound section, just fallow the speaker wire to the board, that is the sound section.Check if theres a loose connection.

There is no volume on the tv, the volume bar goes all the way to 99 but there is no sound, i plugged in external speakers it worked but the tv volume is not working. How do i fix this problem?

Go into your Audio menu on the TV and make sure the TV speaker are set to “ON”.
If the external speakers work when connected to the TV and the TV’s internal speakers don’t work when you remove the external speaker’s plug from the TV, then you will need to replace the main board.
The main board has all the function for the audio for the internal speakers. This was a known issue for some of the LG TV’s. So if you call LG about this issue, LG may fix it under a warranty.
Good luck.

Well these speakers, as you said, are designed for PC, not TV. Even if they work with one TV, that does not mean they will work for another TV! I am glad to help for a Premium Question!

1 front speaker and 1 surround speaker won't work on cable selection

theres probably a problem with the right channel cable or plug that connects the tv to the reciever, or the tv is set to mono audio.

Sound Problems with JVC AV-35BP4 TV

The audio output stage for the speakers may have failed in the TV set. If the set has an earphone jack, it is also possible that the jack has a fault (very rare, but I have seen this).

Are there external speaker outputs to try other speakers?

One speaker has stopped working

It could be the cable connecting to the speaker, or the speaker itself. Try taking the cable that's connected to the left speaker and connecting it to the right speaker. If it works, the cable connected to your right speaker is defective, if it doesn't work - your speaker is.
