Question about DeLonghi Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines
Brand new, I know it shouldn't do this since we've had another DeLonghi for 10 yrs and it never did that beep while pumping espresso into cup. Very annoying and we will return if there isn't a fix. Get our old DeLonghi repaired again and move on. Any idea what that is or what to do??
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: DeLonghi EC701 Pump out
I had the same issue. Scale build up in the port that routes water to the boiler outlet for the coffee filter basket. Frother tube was fine.
I used CLR to open it back up. Used 1 part to 4 of water and ran a whole reserviour through the unit. At first, it only dripped and then finally it blew open when the CLR dissolved the scale.
Make sure to run lots of clean water through the unit after so that you don't end up drinking acid with your next cup. I ran about a gallon through to rinse it out.

I had the same problem, there is a O-ring seal between the heater and water feed...U have to remove apprx 8 allen screws on the top of the heater plate, remove the wiring connectors from the heating element and overload sensors and the heater plate romoves from the attached bottom plate. The seal is located on the center nipple and is apprx 1/8" round. Replacing it with a seal from the hardware store corrected my problem...GOOD LUCK!

you need to run a few pots of straight white vinegar through the machine to clean out the lime build up in the tubes. the first time you do it, after it starts to pump the water, shut it off for a few hours and let the vinegar sit in the tubes. after doing this run a few pots of cold water through before making coffee.
