SOURCE: change the settings
Hi out there,
I had similar problems with my ipod and after playing around with it for awhile and got to the language list I cllicked on english and pushed menu. Had to do this a couple of times. By the second or third time press menu and then your sleep function and this should change it to english. It worked for me. Once you have it in english put the system to sleep for a minute or two. This will set the ipod to the english language. If you just shut it off it will change back to chinese when you turn it on. When you unlock the sleep mode it will turn on in english. Then you can turn it off and on again and it will be in english. Hope this helps. It did for me.
