Have a 49 cc two stoke motor its for a mountain bike runs off a magnetow has a black blue and a white wire which you can run a head light off of but what size of light can i use and were to get one

magnetoes have an uncontrolled out put of voltage as the faster the run the more volts produced
AS to the size bulb required , I would out a multi meter across the wires set it on high voltage and work back down the scale until you get the highest voltage reading
Im thinking around 12 volts max but the readings will give you some idea
as to the light any lamp that has a holder for an light bulb will do for a start

Where do the two wires coming fom the magneto go

One is ground the other goes to the kill switch which is ultimately a ground too. It will have power on it when cranking but when you switch it to shut down it grounds it so the coil can't build voltage.

I have a 1972 yamaha ls2 100 cc twin when I rev the bike it blows out any light that is on. It appears to be the voltage regulator but I can't find one on this bike. Does the bike have a voltage...

have you tested the voltage at the battery while the bike is running? you should check twice once at idle and once at the point where your lights are popping. if your battery is getting more than 14v then its possible your stater is going out or needs to be adjusted. im not very familiar with that bike but that's where I would start looking. also test your rectifier make sure its working to spec.

How to install an electrical wiring to 49cc atv

I think you want to put a light on it??? you will need to install a battery to do it right. BUT you can run a LED light right off the magnito. connect to the wire to the wire on the mag that goes to the kill button, Start the engine and check the voltage, if it is more than 14 Volts you need to install a rectifier to drop the voltage down. You can do it with a good resistor if its not too high. Remember... the engine is designed to make enough power to run the engine only. A LED light uses 1/5 the power of a incandescent light so that might work for you.

On the 1400 intruder the engine dies on idling when I turn the lights on

sounds like you have a charging system problem. your main computer requires a certain amount of voltage to keep the bike running. once you turn on the lights, that takes away some of the voltage going to the computer. either you battery is going bad, replace if old, or your charging system is not working properly. if i recall corretly the computer requires a minimum of 10.5 volts to run the bike.

Starting my bike

first off bro the 883 does not become a 1200 by boring the cylinder. there is absolutely no difference in the size of the cylinder of a stock 883 or 1200. to make the displacement bigger by 317 cc's the head dome is made larger. you can make any 883 a 1200 by carving out the inside of the head to increase the volume. to make this increase in displacement by boring the cylinder would require making the inside of the cylinders bigger than the outside which obviously can't be done. your starter is probably getting hot due to poor electrical connection. most likely in the ground pathway. if you dont have good continuity the amps go way high and the starter gets hot. you can have all the voltage in the world but if you can't carry the amps then the thing will click and and overheat. check your cables and make sure no corrosion also if you painted your bike then the paint on the frame needs to be scuffed off where the ground strap connects
