Question about AT&T Blackberry Curve 8300 Smartphone
Hi - I got the blackberry curve about 2mos ago and have been adding lots of information to my calendar while also taking pictures and downloading a few programs. Until tonight I hadn't downloaded the information from my old blackberry (i.e. addresses and calendar items), so my husband offered to do it for me and promised not to screw it up. Next thing I know, everything (including my settings and downloads) has been deleted from the curve and there is no backup file to go it.
Is this information really lost? Is it possible that there is a temporary file with this information somewhere on my SIM card that someone can recover.
I'm sorry to say that it is likely completely gone.
I've never heard of a Blackberry recovery service. Perhaps send an email to RIM (Research In Motion) and ask? If your BB came from your company (as opposed to a personal plan) perhaps your IT department can help?
One other thought: If you are using the BB at work and it's hooked up to a Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) then at least your email, calendar and address data _might_ be stored on the server. Ask your IT department.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
