Take the line off the spool in such a way that the line will be caught by the bail after you cast the line. The easiest way to get it right is to raise the bail like you are going to cast the line, thread the eyes, then trip the bail with the handle, as though you were reeling 'em in.
Happy fishing. I'm jealous.

Does this machine automatically thread the needle

Can't tell since you didn't list the make & model.

FWIW, no machine "automatically" threads the needle. Some machines do have a needle-threader apparatus attachment but it is user manipulated.

HINT: To make needle threading easier, do NOT lick the thread end. Instead, lick your index finger and swipe it across the BACK of the needle's eye. When you put the thread end up to the needle's eye, the thread will literally "jump" through the eye!!!

The automatic threader wont pick up and thread needle. Can do manually but thats not easy?

to make manual threading of a needle easy buy a needle threader
it is a instrument that has a very fine piece of wire in a loop that you push through the eye of the needle , put the thread in that loop and pull the loop back out of the eye and the needle is threaded
available from most any shop that sells material , cotton , thread or sewing machine shops
cost --pack of 2 for $1.00 or there abouts

How to threadle the needle

Thread the needle? Just insert the tip of the thread into the needle's eye. If you have vision problems, it helps to lick your index finger and then swipe it across the BACK side of the needle's eye. The thread end is attracted to the moisture and helps pull the thread into the eye. Some sewists swipe the thread tip with chapstick to stiffen it.

The bobbin thread is not catching the upper thread. Can't even catch the thread initially. What can I do?

there is a possibility that the needle /bobbin timing is out
check this by inspecting the needle eye position in relation to the bobbin hook
the hook should be at the needle just above the eye if the timing is correct
the method for adjustment will be in the work shop manual for the machine , available from the manufacturer on line in pdf version
failing that take it in for a service and adjustment

How do I thread the nedle

the easiest way for me to thread a needle is: 1. check to see which direction the needle eye is facing... some machines had the eye so you threaded it from the side... nowadays it is usually from the front... the opening facing you when you sit in front of it. 2. wet the end of the thread-about a half inch or so.. then take very sharp scissors and cut the very end of the thread off, but leaving some of the wet tip there... the moisture keeps the thread from unraveling as it goes through the needle eye. 3. now carefully slide the thread end through the eye. 4. Once it is through, pull at least 8 inches of the thread through (so it doesn't pull back through the needle when it first starts sewing the fabric)

Show me how to use the auto threader

Thread the machine to the point where the thread is in the needle bar thread guide. With you left hand hold the upper thread towards you. With your right hand pull down on the threader unit and twist it so the tiny hook goes through the eye of the needle and hold it there. Now take the thread that you are holding in your left hand and pass it to the rear of the machine under the small guides on the threader hook. Release the threader mechanism and the thread and the tiny hook should pull a small loop through the eye. Pull on this small loop (which will be on the right side) all the way through the eye.

good luck!
