Mr Heater ignition constantly on. Circuit breaker trips.

HiI have a MR Heater mk75kt The unit turns on and functions but the ignitor stays on all the time. It sometimes causes the circuit breaker to trip. I am trying to figure out if it is the circuit board or the Ignition transformer. Thank you

It sounds like the ignitor is not working, Since the heater is not detecting a flame it goes to lockout. Check the ignitor wiring to see if it is in good shape. Sometimes the connection where the wire (from the IID) connects to the ignitor gets corroded.

It could also be the IID which makes sure the safety loop is complete before calling for heat and sending current to the ignitor. Good luck with it.

System shut out ....it says no spark

Possible pilot light issue. Seems to be an electronic ignition. The striker is damaged or missing. check any flow control valves, circuit breakers or special instructions re use of the pilot/starter/striker.

Main burners in my old utility gas heater will not ignite

A common problem with these are the safety limit switch trips, either because the fan did not come on and over heated the unit, or the unit got shut off while in heat mode, causing the switch to trip. These are usually located around the top/side of the unit heater behind a small access panel. It should be resettable by pushing in the small button in between the two connections. Hope this helps!

It looks like a 15 amp breaker would be fine, here is the spec sheet

As you can see the unit only pulls 3 amps.

Hope this helps

CIRCUIT BREKER KEEPS TRIPPING

Your house wiring in not capable of powering the unit. Try a different location to plug in. Check the unit to make sure it is not faulty and will trip breakers because it is damaged.

Mr. Heater Buddy Portable Problems...

ok, your unit must be propane. look on the back where the propane line feeds the nozzle. there should be a very small copper line with two spade connectors on it. this is your millivolt generator line. with a flame at the nozzle the generator makes a very small electrical current which feeds to the main valve and keeps it open. take a piece of wire and jumper these two spade connections together and try lighting the unit again. if it stays on, the hi limit is shot. you can get by with the connections jumped out, you just don't have the safety margin if it were connected. IF with the spade connections jumped out the unit still shuts off, the generator tube needs to be changed.
