SOURCE: upright positon dyson won't work

Have you checked your permanent filter? Have you checked the hoses for clogs. As a last resort you can disassemble the cyclone and clean it. If the vac is less than 5 years old, Dyson will probably send you a new Cyclone to replace yours.
Also check that you have the gasket inside the center of the bottom of the clear canister on the right way. If it is backwards your suction will be much less

My dyson vacuum multifloor 2 wand extension is not sucking.

It's possible the sound your hearing is the suction release valve opening up to release the suction if there is a clog or restriction somewhere. If that's not it inspect the changeover valve closely as you pull the handle back into vacuuming mode and back upright. If there is a bad spot on the hose it can prevent it can prevent the changeover valve from seating properly.

Does a dc33 have a fuse? and where is it?

Hi Becky, it's Jack at Dyson.

All Dyson DC33 upright vacuums bought within the UK will include a standard replaceable 13 amp fuse within the plug. Dyson vacuums purchased in other markets may not include a fuse within the plug. However, most Dyson vacuums are protected by a thermostat engineered to shut the machine off for protection if it starts to overheat.

If your DC33 shut off while you were using it, it may have overheated due to a blockage, and the filter(s) may also be overdue for a wash. The vacuum should reset automatically after it's had at least 1-2 hours to cool down. Washing the filter(s) according to the User guide and removing any blockages should prevent this issue from reoccurring.

We're happy to talk you through some quick troubleshooting checks to help determine the cause of the issue, and to ensure your DC33 is working as well as it should be. You'd just need to give us a call on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

My brush is not rotating

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

I'm sorry to hear your DC33's brush bar is not rotating. This is likely to be because the brush control on the cleaner head has accidentally set to 'Hard floors'. In this mode, the brush bar will not rotate. Please recline your machine into the vacuuming position, turn it on, and make sure the brush control is set to 'Carpets'.

I'm confident this will resolve the issue, as using and replacing the wand will not have any effect on the function of the brush bar. It's also important to note that the brush bar will never rotate when the machine is standing upright.

If you would like further assistance after you've checked the brush control is correctly positioned, please get in touch with us directly. You can reach us on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), or 1-877-397-6622 (CA).

Best wishes,

Jack

Stopped running as if electricity cut off.

Hi there,

Your DC33 is equipped with a safety device which shuts the cleaner off if it's overheating. This usually happens because the filters need to be washed, or because the cleaner is blocked. You can find advice on the correct way to wash the filters, and to clear any blockages, in this step-by-step guide:

http://www.dyson.com/support/help.asp?article=1415&product=DC33-MULTIFLOOR

Please note, the filters in your cleaner should be washed at least every 3 months.

Hopefully this should resolve your issue. However, if you're still having difficulties, please get in touch with us directly so one of our experts can provide further assistance. You can call us free on 08002980298 (UK), or 1866MYDYSON (US).

Kind regards,

Jack
