The Zoom mechanisin is out of kilter and you will need to get it repaired but will be pricey.
However if out of warranty -it will be better to buy a new camera.

Get a good dvd cleaner I notice that alot of people have this problem. The optics get dirty and it won't read the dvd anymore you can buy one at best buy, wal mart, k mart any audio visual center should have one, Merry xmas happy holidays
