SOURCE: Unit leaks out of the bottom

Mine just developed the same problem. Me being an engineer, I decided to take it apart and found the problem. There is an aluminum tube shaped like a "C" with a heating element inside of it. Water flows through this metal tube, is heated, and then pushed via steam pressure. There is a metal brace that holds this "C" piece securely to the bottom of the machine. This brace is sharp and overtightened, which caused a small hole to form in the metal, causing the leak (in my machine of course). I am currently researching how to patch aluminum so I can hopefully fix it.

SOURCE: Bunn coffee maker leaks water

There are 3 seals in your unit that could cause your problem. there is a silicon seal right under the pour-in tray, and two on the top of the tank. one of those is for the thermostat, the other is for the sprayhead tube. any of these could leak, causing water to come out the bottom of the brewer. One other thing that can cause this is a scale buildup between the pour-in tray and the tank.

SOURCE: water leaking out the bottom of the coffee maker

If it leaks DURING brewing, you may have to decalcify it (aka, run through a cycle of 4 cups vinegar, fill to the top with water, 2-3 times and see if it helps).
If it leaks before you even start brewing a pot of coffee, something is broken on the inside of the coffee maker, and I would recommend contacting Waring--they may be able to get you a replacement coffee maker (and if you're under warranty, usually a replacement would be free!).

SOURCE: Bunn coffee maker leaking from underneath the bottom

Please get the model and the date code from the bottom of the machine and contact customer serivce. Depending on the date code, there might be a seal kit available or the machine can be replaced at no cost if 3 years old or less. If it is over 3 years old and the seal kit isn't available, the machine will be replaced at a reduced price.

Hi! Miele makes only small amount of coffee then all the rest of the water leaks into drip tray. Please note that no water is inside the machine or trash bin. Unit has been descaled & cleaned.

I really sounds like the machine is working properly (water flowing properly) and either the filter material is too thick, or the coffee is too fine, or the flow control mechanism is failing to open properly. (For reference, I use Bunn filters in mine as they are taller and allow the water level to rise deeper in the basket before overflowing.)

Some things to look at: (1) make certain that you are using only one thickness of paper filter, (2) that you are only using coffee designed for your coffee maker (drip grind usually) and that (3) the mechanism is opening properly (not gunked up with dried coffee or whatever).

DCC 2400 COFFEMAKER LEAKS CONSTANTLY. ALL OVER THE COUNTER. HAVE CLEANED IT. IS IT FIXABLE SHOULD I TRASH IT?

I had this problem.

The Fix:

There is a valve in the centre of the carafe lid (If you shake the lid you can hear the valve rattle). This valve becomes gummed up with heavy coffee oils over time and sticks causing part of your brew to pour onto your counter. The fix is to simply clean the oil out of this valve. I cleaned mine by soaking it overnight in a water/bleach solution then blasting hot water into it. You can clean it more thoroughly if you pop off the bottom lid part that extends into the pot. It is a snap fit. Before you take it off note the orientation.

On my lid this valve was coated in heavy, greasy coffee oils. After this cleaning your pot should not leak when brewing.

Another problem is the stiffness of the lid making it sometimes very difficult to open and close and if not fully closed coffee will leak while pouring. This o-ring binds against the carafe. To fix this, locate the 'O' ring in that same part the extends into the carafe on the bottom of the lid. put a drop or two of vegetable oil on your finger and apply a thin film around this ring once every three weeks or so. Your lid will open and close smoothly and beautifully.

Happy brewing!

Saeco Odea Go - Hot water leaks from bottom of machine

That's leaking from the hoses coming out from the boiler,if the machine is new it should be still under warranty, may have to take it back to the service center. When making coffee the lines are under pressure and the water never have a chance to pass through the ground coffee.

My solis master 5000 is leaking water into the bin for the pucks

HI
If you remove the brew unit and find water in the top left side of it, where the thumb screw is, you have a stripped thumb screw. This is caused by using the key to install the filter screen and pulls the nut out of the thumb screw. This is why they call it a thumb screw. Finger tight.

Coffee maker leaking from bottom

I have had a few of these machines leak.
I pulled off the bottom and found Mr Coffee is using low quality tubing that melts or leaks where it attaches to the heater element that boils the water. I replaced the tubes with higher quality silicone tubing that I bought directly out of China on Ebay and the problem was solved.
