The most likely cause is dirt or dust on the lens. You might need to clean it by accessing it from inside. Use Servisol Video 40 to clean it.
Of course it will never work, if the lens is damaged. You can look at the lens with a magnifying glass and see if it is scratched. Make certain there no power on when you look at it.

SOURCE: Cd Player wont open

Hi,

I have my manual here.

"Turn on the system and enter CD mode. While pressing the stop button on the unit( the little circular button with the dark square), press the CD Open/Close button on the unit. 'UNLOCKED' appears on the display."

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have discs in my cd player but it says NO DISC.

The "no disc" messing indicates that the disc is not readable. This can be due to a dirty lens on the optics or defective optics. If you can gain access to the CD section, try cleaning off the lens of the optics assembly using a cotton swab and alcohol. Let me know if that does not resolve the problem.

I have a 2001 Honda Crv, the cd player keeps ejecting CDs before it has the chance to load them. The radio works fine, and I gave tried burnt and original disc CDs. Can anyone suggest a solution?

Are these CDs that you burned yourself? Older CD players won't recognize the audio file format of this kind of recording, only the established file format that typical retail CDs have used for years. In recent years, CD players have been developed to recognize more file types than just the old format; but with an older player like you have in your car, it wouldn't recognize what you were trying to play, as if you put a DVD in. It balks, and spits it out. You can burn CDs with the correct file format, you just need the appropriate software or file translator.

Cds play on all cd players but the ones i made on new computer do not why?

it all depends on the CD's your using. some CD's will not play on some players. try DVD-R blank disc, this may make a difference. try one to see ! I ran into the same problem a while ago! it depends on the player itself, DVD-R 4.7GB data 16xspeed. this should work if player is compatable with it.

Cd player won't read cd's

Hi,
Some CD players wont read the copied CDs..
however if this is not the case ,I recommend to buy a "wet CD laser cleaner " from any store.it is available even in Walmart..And clean the laser eye at least twice..
CD itself should be clean and finger prints free as well....
Hope this helps! Take care and please Remember to rate/vote and give me

I put the cd in tray 2 bu ti may not have placed it right and now none of the trays are opening and its acting wierd when turning it on

Seems you may have caused the mechanism to become mis-aligned by putting in the cd wrong...you may need to have a tech realign it at a shop..or, if you mechanically inclined, you can obtain a service manual for it and try realigning the mechanism yourself

Not reading cds

first ask your self

has it ever worked?
are these cds burt as mp3 cds and not just plain audio cds?

it might need to have the lense on the laser cleaned other than that its pointless and probably is just bad, the cd player is old

Jvc kd-sx770 car stereo--radio works, but cd player doesn't

Hello beeswing70,

The player is recognizing that a CD has been inserted but is not able to read it.

Sometimes the lens assembly becomes contaminated and obscures the laser. I'd try using a commercial "lens cleaning CD" two or three times and then try a CD again. These lens cleaning CD's are widely available. If cleaning does not help, the player need professional service.

Hope this helps.
