Question about Miele Dishwashers

Open Question

I want to put the front panel back on my Miele dishwasher, but I see that the brass housing around the hole is missing for one screw so it has nothing to fix into. Any ideas?

SOURCE: FRIGIDAIRE DISHWASHER FDB1050REC0 LEAKS UNDERNEATH

There are a couple reasons water may be leaking out the door of a dishwasher.
1. The water is most likely coming out the bottom of the door where there is no rubber seal.
2. The rubber seal is around the door jam on top and both sides and not on the bottom. This means if the dishwasher has to much detergent in it the soap suds push only the water higher than the front edge of the wash basin and out the bottom of the door where there is no seal!
3. Fill only the soap cup that can close for the secondary wash. The open cup is a pre-wash and mostly not needed unless the food is baked on.This just wastes money to fill both of them every time.
4. And if you are using liquid detergent you only need half the amount from the powdered soap!
try less soap. Remember to much soap too can cause the water overflow.
5. And the last would be that the drain is clogged and caused a back up large or small and then the overflow!
is there water in the bottom when the wash is done?
Soap is usually the culprit, not that there can't be a leak in an old drain or water supply hose!
Go with the soap idea first!

Let me know how you are!
How old is the washer ?

SOURCE: Fitting a new front panel to the NEFF 54432 integrated dishwasher

My Neff integrated dishwasher has two holding screws in the top corners and then two hidden screms half way down the side behind plastic covers. Loosen these side screws, remove the top two corner screws and then the door cover/panel should lift out of two lugs at the bottom.

Miele dishwasher door leaks through the fan on front of door

That is supposed to be open only during drying. You most likely have a problem with that air vent opening and closing properly.

The door handle is coming loose on one side. How can you tighten it down? it looks like you have to take off the front panel to get to the screw to make it tighter. Do you have to unscrew all the screw...

Hello,

You are correct on this style dishwasher the front panel will need to be removed in order to tighten the handle. Remove the screws around the edge of the door once off the panel will lift up and off.

There will be a bigger screw coming in from the back side, loosen and put a little lock tight on the threads and you will never have to take the dishwasher apart again, that trick works for me..

Have a good evening, I work at the link below to.

Hi Service, I have a Miele dishwasher model G692 SC Plus which has a problem with the drying fan filling with water during the wash cycle. We open the door at the end of the cycle and water drains out...

You have the Miele problem.

This happens every year or two. Take off the outside front panel to access the hose that runs from the bottom of the fan down to the dispenser, and lets the water drain out through it to the interior. Clean out that hose as well as you can. Replace. This is a stupid problem that Miele should have a permanent fix for. Grrrr.

In fact I just did this with mine today. The hose cleans out quickly, the problem is getting the front back on. 4 hands make it easier. It slips on when you start close to vertical, then slip in in and down. For putting the screws back in, you might have to use a micro screwdriver to re-align the little clips on the door panel. (You will see what I mean when you do it!) This costs a service call ($100, give or take) to call for service. It can be done at home with no added parts. I think it applies to all Miele dishwashers, and I have now done it several times. As I said before, this is a design fault and should not be necessary!

PS: I still have the puddle on the floor, so am trying again only 3 days later! But this has worked several times before.

I have a Miele dishwasher that has a small leak by the intake hose which is connected to the water supply. How can this part be repaired or must it be replaced

The inlet hose to a miele dishwasher has a box on the end of it, and a brass garden hose thread fitting on the end of it. Inside this brass fitting is a black rubber garden hose washer. I have never seen the hose break. Are you sure it is not leaking from the washer or maybe missing the washer altogether? It is expensive to get the hose replaced.. 200+ for the hose and 175 for the service call. the dishwasher has to come out and be turned on its side to replace it.

Power cord broken inside s251i miele How do i open the s251i ????

HOW TO OPEN MIELE 251 VACCUUM: 1-Unplug from wall and disconnect power cord 2-Remove black switch panel at back of top panel: A-Use Phillips screwdriver, remove two silver screws visible between back of hinged top door and front of black switch panel
B-Push back of the panel down while pushing it forward (towards front of machine). There are two plastic notches and clips which are tightly fit together that you need to separate.
Once it releases, push it a bit more towards the front of the machine and lift off panel. It has wires connecting it to the main body so it will not remove completely.
C-Be careful not to lose the springs that simply sit inside of two plastic channels, one under each of the two switches. These are required for your witches to operate properly.
3-Locate screw at bottom of deep rectangular hole now revealed (under former location of black switch panels). Unscrew using Phillips screwdriver. 4-Open hinged top panel. Locate two silver screws, one on each side of main housing. Unscrew using Phillips screwdriver. 5-This will let you lift off the whole top assembly, door and main housing, revealing the plastic chassis and the motor unit within.
You now have access to the motor, wiring connector harnesses, circuit board and the cord reel.

Miele dishwasher - Turbothermic drying spits out water. When you open the door water runs out of the fan vent, whistling noise as it dries.

I found this elsewhere on the net. Seemed to work for me. You need 2 pairs of hands though 1 to hold things together the other to work the screw driver. Thanks to Peter.
I had the same problem on my Miele Dishwasher. Basically the outlet built into the door gets gummed up. You can access it by undoing the screws around the edge of the inside of the door. This will allow you to release the front door cover from the inner stainless steel cover and there will be the tubes etc. for the front vent. Take them off and you will find them blocked with gunge. Give them a jolly good clean so it allows the condensation to drain back into the machine . You will also find the fan in there as well. Clean all around that as well if it's dirty. Put it all back together and no more gurgling or water on the floor when the doors opened. Hope this helps.

Heats up and produces steam but the release button does not open the flow of steam.

To remedy this, I did the following:
1) Removed screws from: a) Lower area of handle (1 screw), b) Top of steamer, under round rubber flap around fill hole (2 screws), c) Front of steamer where nozzles attach (2 screws)
2) Removed back of handle, top of steamer, front of steamer where nozzles attach
3) Once all parts are removed, you can see a brass button that is pushed by the trigger
4) Using a needle-nose pliers, grasp and rotate the button several times in both directions (you may hear it cranking against the interior spring). Do this until it turns fairly easily with the pliers.
5) Once this is done, you fill find that the brass button can be very slightly depressed with a bit of force. You may also need/want to unfold a large paper clip to push into the nozzle hole to help unsticking the brass button (not sure if that helped in my case, but it was something I tried along the way). When the brass button moves in and out (again, it won't move much), the steam release mechanism is unstuck!
6) Reassemble all parts (everything snaps back neatly into place).
This worked for my unit!
