Question about Electrical Supplies
You will need to remove the carb and check the Chock post and flaps. I would imagine one of these items are broken on the carb.

Its absolutely the gas. Get all the old gas you can out of it and fill with fresh gas along with the recommended amount of conditioner such as Seafoam.

Sounds like rings are worn is it difficult to start,remove plug and do a comp test, possably ok on test because oil ring wear out quicker the reason i ask u to do is if compression down also it mite need a new piston if not u might get away with re ringing the piston
