Water Pump was not working, Now door is locked and will not open

Cleaned out water pump as instructed. Still have a noise in the impeller and believe it to be a piece of rusted paper clip found durning the cleanout. Now door is locked. Tried the lock/unlock button, end of cycle button as well as holding several simultaneously. Door is still locked.

Yesterday, I noticed that the Hayward pool sweep wasn't moving, nor was there any water flowing from the outlets in the pool. I cleaned both baskets - nothing. I installed 4 brand new cartridge filters -...

A pump motor running without any flow of water is one of two things. The impeller inside the pump that is connected to the motor is broken or clogged. Open up the pump and inspect the impeller for debris or seperation and clean or replace as needed.

ZODIAC INGROUND POOL PUMP MAKES A NOISE BUT DOES NOT PUMP WATER. WAS WORKING AN YESTERDAY. HAVE CLEANED FILTER, AND MANUALLY TURNED FAN AT THE BACK. STILL NOT WORKING??

If your pool pump is acting sluggish it may simply be a build up of debris inside the impeller. Cleaning it is simple if you know how.
Step 1 - Check the Impeller

You can check the impeller for clogs by opening the clear cover that is on the strainer basket. Then place your garden hose into the basket and turn it on high. The water should disappear immediately. If it does not, you may have a clog.
Step 2 - Turn off the Power to the Pump

Before actually removing the clog from your pool pump impeller you will need to turn off the power to it. Remove the basket and use a finger to reach into the hole behind the basket to feel for any debris. If it is clogged, go to step 3.
Step 3 - Disconnect the Pump and Motor

Disconnect the pump and motor from the plumbing. Depending upon the make and model of your pool pump you may be able to skip this step. The motor usually just slides away from the pump.
Step 4 - Remove the Plastic Cover

Take the pump apart by removing the plastic cover over the motor. This cover generally has several small screws holding it on.
Step 5 - Remove and Clean the Impeller

Once the cover is removed you will easily be able to see the clog in the pool pump impeller. Just use your fingers or a coat hanger to clean it out.
Step 6 - Clean

Put everything back together. Once you have it cleaned out you can put the cover back on and put it all back together. Problem solved.

Water not draining from machine . cleaned out pump but still not working.

Believing the pump to be operational, there is a possibility that the impeller within the pumb is broken or loose on the shaft. Eventho the pump motor is running the water is not being "moved" through the pump because of the bad impellers.

Kenmore Elite HE3t 11042922200 Front Loading. F02 drain Problem

We experienced the same thing. I was able to restart and locate the noise to the water pump. After disassembling the water pump found the impeller shaft sliding out. For some reason this shaft will not stay in place. Had to order a complete pump assembly as the electric motor is not available.

My Bosch dishwasher, S9J1F will not clean things properly, I've changed the arms, cleaned it. I think the arms don't seem to spin properly, (I bypassed the door switch so I could see them spin)I have tried...

not enuff water in it or pump blockage or bad pump impeller. if you ran it with the door open even if the arms didn't turn you should have got drenched is the bottom covered with water about 1 inch deep some times the fill valve screens get clogged and don't let in enuff water if plenty of water in it look for somthing in the pump

Whisperflow 1.5 pump is drawing 1/4 volume of water.

With the pump off, take out the pump basket and with your fingers
feel the front of the impeller you may have something blocking it.

your chicken wish bone may have broken your drain pump- it may have prevented the impeller to spin while the motor was on-not good. you may want to consider changing the drain pump...

Danby DDW396: pump leaks when in use.

If your dishwasher leaks, check these:Main tub seal
Door gasket or seal
Water-inlet valve
Hoses

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the:

1. Lower rack
2. Spray arm
3. Spray arm support
4. Wash/drain impellers

Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

LG WM3677HW Pump Problem

The pump seems to be a weak link as mine failed twice in 4 years (it's the drain pump, not the spray pump by the way). The impeller spins loose from the motor shaft and no longer pumps. The repair requires pulling the top, front and drum seal clamp (that was the toughest part) and r/r the pump. Part cost was about $40. I believe when the lint builds in the trap it causes a vacuum to build on the impeller and drags it loose. Keep a cleaning schedule on the lint plug and that should help.
