How to Turn Off the Bobbin Sensor in the Bernina Artista 640

make sure you're using the appropriate bernina bobbin, others can confuse the sensor. This video(by Bernina Boys) shows how to clean lint to prevent this problem which is what often causes this error. Or go into settings by pressing the diamond with right hand arrow inside of it. The eye with the speaker next to it should get you where you need to go to turn it off.
The manual on Bernina's website is here:
https://www.bernina.com/en-US/SupportData/BERNINA-Nah-und-Stickmaschinen/artista/Manuals/031508-50-04_0601_a640_EN

page 98 has the information you want.

I don't have a good answer for you but I would remove both needle and plate, turn off and unplug machine for 10 minutes, replace needle and plate and 'reboot' the machine by turning it on and see if that clears any corrupted memory.

Bernina 780's LCD doesn't respond to touch

Sorry you are having problems. This is either a bad screen, loose cable or bad CPU. all of these need an authorized dealer to repair. In the future it is best to keep these on an uninteruped power supply and only use a stylus on the touch screen.

My machine keeps freezing on me. It will work if I leave it off for about 10 min. but only for a few min. and then stops working again. I have to turn it off for 10 min. again before it works...

If the handwheel is tight and difficult to turn, then there is a bind somewhere. Could be debris in the hook raceway, thread caught in the take-up crank or a shaft bushing failure. Consult your instruction book for directions on how to clean out the hook area. If cleaning the hook area doesn't help, take it to your repair person. The more you use it in this condition, the worse it could become.

Hello

You either need a transduecer (speed control inside the machine, www.sewingandvac.com, or you need a new foot control, also available on www.sewingandvac.com. It is also possible that you may need both.

If you take the foot control tube and put your finger over the hole in the tube, compress the controler and hold it for about 5 seconds, remove your finger and if there is still compression inside the tube, you need the transduecer. If there is no compression, you need the foot control. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Try unplugging the power from the machine for a few minutes and let the computer reset itself. While you have the machine unplugged from the electrical current try putting a few drops of oil on the lever that lowers the pressure foot. Then work the lever up and down a few times and reconnect the power.
