My Duet washer stops with F8E1 code on Warm Water Wash. On Hot Water Wash, it completes the cycle. Is there a part that is important only when cold water is used during the wash not the rinse?

If the cold works on cold wash but the hot don't work on hot wash . Then yes the switch is bad.give What model is it?

SOURCE: When my machine goes through the rinse cycle it will only fill with hot water. It fills with warm water during the wash cycle.

Your hoses are reversed.

typically hot is on the left and cold is on the right at the house faucets but in some cases they are reversed so if filling with a cold setting and the right side supply is hot the plumber reversed the lines when the house was built which while its semi rare has been seen numberous times

Check the inlet valve solenoid wires for resistance with an ohms meter. The cold and hot solenoids should have close to the same resistance. My washer had a weak solenoid causing the hot water valve to close after 4 or 5 seconds. While checking the solenoid wires for resistance with the ohms meter, I noticed the cold side had 51 ohms but the hot side only 8 ohms. Hope this helps.

possible 3 solutions for this problem 1 could be the cold fill solenoid 2 could be brushes in motor 3 could be main pcb
