SOURCE: pressure foot holder is missing

It's presser feet and not pressure feet.

I am not sure what you are asking for. Look through these to see if you can find what you are looking for - http://www.sewingmachinesplus.com/sewing-feet.php

SOURCE: what is pressure foot on

This is the foot that comes down and holds the fabric layers under the needle.

There will be a pressure foot lever to raise and lower the pressure foot at the back of the sewing area, it usually operates vertically, although some makes have a lever that works horizontally.

The pressure foot needs to be lowered BEFORE you start stitching as it activates the top tension and also helps with the stitch formation by holding the fabric firmly as the needle moves up and down.

You can read some general sewing machine info at www.sewing.about.com too.

SOURCE: How to adjust the tension

You are not actually able to adjust the presser foot. For quilting you should pick up a "free motion" foot pedal made specifically for that. They run on e-bay for roughly $10-$20. Make sure you get one that fits your type of machine.

Pressure regulator located top left-hand side of machine. May have a spring baring to "push" into down position for more pressure on pressed foot, or may have turn option. Look at your machine one more time, please. Jimmy

Tighten the pressure foot

We have a sewing machine that was manufactured by Janome. It is a New Home Deluxe Model. It has very little travel on the pressure foot itself versus other sewing machines. I have learned just by using this machine.... If you need to get the foot up high...all you have to do is reach through and grab the pressure foot and while picking it up(not the lever but the foot itself) turn it clockwise just a touch and it will stay up plenty far enough to get larger or thicker material under it to sew. I hope this helps. Thanks and remember "Be Easy!" Neighborsboy

What to do if the seam underneath is too tight?

Try re-threading bobbin and watch the tension. Or not spooling as much thread onto it.

My brand new lil sew and sew lss 505 will not turn on

When you say it will not turn is it the hand wheel stuck or the motor will not run it. If it is the motor check the position of the bobbin winder. It may be jammed with thread. Remove the bobbin case/basket and look try to turn it by hand.
