Miller furnace says pressure switch is open

you have a bad VPS-Vent Pressure Switch- it monitors oxygen and gas mixture to allow furnace to fire up-- you can get part at a local Heating and AC supply house just call and give model and possibly serial number and they can tell you if they have the part and cost.

Where is the reset button for gas furnace serial # MGH9301-02963

Normally there are no reset buttons on most furnaces. There are two burner rollout switches, those are the only manual reset buttons on the furnace.

To reset your furnace, turn off the fuse or breaker to the furnace, wait a few minutes and the fualt will be restored. If the furnace tries to start 3 times and does the exact same thing, then you have problems

Is it cost effective to replace draft inducer blower on 22 year old furnace?

Depends on the cost to repair. Probably a 22 year old furnace is not very efficient also. Take every thing into consideration.
If it still works it may work for a while but you don't want a break down in the middle of winter.

Request the date of maunfacture of my Hunter Comfort RB 115 oil fired hot air furnace, the first serivce date from the furnace oil supply company service man was 20/05/97. ULC - 742 Thanks

If you have or can find the serial number of the furnace, you can contact Hunter directly and they can tell you the manufacture date. Their contact information should be on the Manufacturer's data plate on the furnace.

Why heater coils glow?

It sounds like you're describing one of two things. The hot surface ignitor in a gas-fired furnace, or the resistive heat strips in an electric furnace.

The hot surface ignitor in a gas-fired furnace lights the burners. This ignitor in modern furnaces serves the same purpose as the standing pilot flame did in older furnaces. It provides the required heat to ignite the gas at the burners. Without an ignition source, a gas-fired furnace cannot provide heat. When the ignitor is activated it will glow bright orange or yellow.

The resistive heat strips in an electric furnace actually provide the heat to a home or building. When the furnace turns on, the heat strips are activated and usually glow orange when they reach peak temperature. In almost all cases, the heat strips are not easily seen or accessed without removing covers or panels inside the furnace.

Replace the start capacitor. Take an amp draw on the motor when it starts. Compare that with the rating plate for FLA.

Coleman gas furnace. Burner will re-fire for a few seconds during the cooldown. Model G8C07512MUB12A

This is a little complicated because it can be several things and you need to provide more specific info....It could be your furnace is shutting off on the High Limit...which means your furnace is running too hot...check the filter , return air vents etc would be an airflow problem...dirty blower....Furnace can be too big for your house....when the furnace shuts off on High LImit , the fan will continue to blow air , cooling it down as usual and once the furnace cools enough to reset the high limit trhe furnace will Ignite again as long as the thermostat is still calling for heat . The furnace could also be running too long and getting too hot....your Ductwork can be too small...many factors come into play
