What is ceramic fiber and how does it functions?

Ceramic fiber board was made by desiccation, machining and refined through vacuum forming or dry process. It's an ideal energy saving material for kiln, pipe and other insulation equipment.

The advantages of ceramic fiber board:

1. High compressive strength and long service life.

2. Low heat capacity and conductivity.

3. Non-brittle materials, good tenacity.

4. Precise size, good flatness.

5. Easy to cut and mount, convenient construction.

6. Good performance at anti erosion.

7. Continuous production, uniform fiber distribution and stable performance

Characteristic of ceramic fiber:

Beside the fine properties of bulk ceramic fiber cotton, ceramic fiber board has hard texture, excellent toughness and strength and good performance at weather-proof. It won't expand when heated. Besides, it has light weight so that it can be constructed convenient and arbitrary shear bending.

The application of ceramic fiber board:

1. The backing insulation for kiln of cement and other building materials.

2. The backing insulation for kiln of petrochemical, metallurgy, ceramics, glass industry.

3. The backing insulation for kiln of heat treatment.

4. The backing insulation for non-ferrous metals industries.

5. The backing insulation for high-temperature reaction and heating equipment.

2004 v star Silverado 1100. Neutral light is not coming on, can't find neutral, won't start with side stand down?

if the neutral light isnt working the bike assumes its in gear so it wont start with the stand down unless you pull the clutch in ,but it will cut out if you let the clutch out with the stand down.the neutral light works on a simple system it has a live feed to the bulb and the earth for the bulb goes to the neutral switch ,this is only earthed when in neutral which completes the circuit to the check your bulb is ok then check your neutral switch is earthed when in neutral, lastly check the bulb for a live feed.

What's a dry/wet filter?

Wet/dry filters work on the principle that the beneficial colonies of ammonia neutralizing bacteria grow best in the presence of well oxygenated water. Wet/dry filters provide a very large air/water surface area and are also adequate for saltwater aquariums.

I heard that kiln dried pine is poisonous, is that true?

There are many talks over it but you should know that thekiln drying process removes the dangerous phenols from pine, and you can thenuse it for bedding. The issue with it is that it is very inexpensive comparedto the other brand. So the answer is - Yes, you may have it as bedding.

When i switch washing machine on it fuses all electic items in house

What you probably mean is that it kick out the earth leakage in the house. You could either have a neutral wire that has shorted to earth or water has gotten onto your circuitry and is enough to kick out the earth leakage - which it is supposed to do. Try drying out the electrics of the machine with a fan heater or a hair dryer for a while and see if that solves the problem. If not do a check from the neutral wire to earth with an ohm meter and see if you get a reading. If you do, you will have to trace all the wiring looking for the leak. If the drying out solved the problem, you need to look for a water leak.

I have just purchased a new electric cooker. The old one had three terminals in the back, one each for live, neutral and earth. The new one has three marked live, two marked neutral and one marked earth. I...

Live goes to live as normal earth to earth as normal, and the neutral is probably a comonj terminal, in other words it probably has a lnk joining the 2 neutrals together.

I want to know the international colour codes for wiring a three pin plug please

The colours vary from country to country.
In the UK and Ireland the colours are
Brown = Live, (Goes to the pin connected to the fuse, on the right if the longer, earth, pin uppermost)
Blue = Neutral (Goes to the pin on left if longer, earth, pin is uppermost)
Green and Yellow = Earth (Goes to the longer pin)

In the USA and Canada
Black = Hot (Goes to the pin on right when the long round, earth, pin is nearest the floor)
White = Return and (Goes to the pin on Left when the round, earth, pin is nearest the floor)
Green = Earth (Goes to the longer round pin)

I have a heater that can work on 3 phase or monophase. I know because there is a screw that can be turned to switch between the two. The problem is that it has been wired for 3 phase with 4 wires: earth,...

2 x black go to each leg of 230 power. Neutral goes to a neutral point, and earth goes to an earth ground point. While you can tie earth and neutral together (they are in the breaker panel anyway) it does not meet some codes to do this when the appliance provides for separate connections.
