Maybe you place the mp3 files just in that file that the image n video file are in, or did it come with a install disk? it may be like a ipod, you need something like itunes to get the music onto your mp3 player

I have a sandisk sansa e250, the music folder disappeared. I can no longer add or delete or even play music, but they mp3 names still show up.

Same problem happened to me for some reason and all you should have to do is go into the players drive, right click any white space and go to Properties. It should have a box named Hidden and just check it and the Music Folder should show up.

you can fix the problem by having the original sansa files when you format it it deletes everything
get a friends sansa files or do this
and just because it would be a pain looking for the original files i uploaded here for people who deleted them put these files into a folder named

DATA http://www.divshare.com/download/4002990-1d7

WMDRMPD http://www.divshare.com/download/4003086-013

REFS--no files

and put them in into 1 folder named SYSTEM--make it hidden then put it on sansa

then create a music folder make it hidden

then create photo folder with thumbnail and my album folder make my album hidden

then create pictures folder make it hidden

then create playlists folder make it hidden put this file in it
http://www.divshare.com/download/4003139-94b

make a record folder with 2 folders named radio and voice

make a folder video

captilize all these except the one listed below

make a tmp folder

this should work :)

Nova Photo explosion Deluxe

Hi there, This fix worked for me and I was having the same problem. Hope it works for you. If you are on Windows XP, this can normally be resolved by setting the compatibility mode for Photo Explosion to Windows 98. You can do this by following these steps:

1) Click on the Start button.
2) Click on the My Computer. This should open a window titled My Computer.
3) Double-click on the C: drive.
4) If the information is hidden, there is normally an option to show the hidden files/folders. You will need to select this option.
5) Double-click on the Program Files folder.
6) If the information is hidden, there is normally an option to show the hidden files/folders. You will need to select this option.
7) Double-click on the Nova Development folder.
8) Double-click on the Photo Explosion folder.
9) Right-click on IPE40 icon, which looks like a camera.
10) Select the Properties option from the bottom of the pop-up menu.
11) Click on the Compatibility tab.
12) Put a check in the check-box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for".
13) From the drop-down list, chose "Windows 98 / Windows Me".
14) Click on the OK button.
15) Reboot your computer.

Re-formatted Sansa e260 - still 1.4 GB (out of 4GB) tied up

I'm going to try this suggestion from Sansa:

Thanks again for calling SanDisk Technical Support. It is our goal to make sure you have all the resources you need to get the most from your product.

There may still be music hidden in Rhapsody mode that you can't see.

To find this music go to the Tools menu in the upper left corner from any open folder in Windows XP.

Choose the last option, Folder Options

A dialog box will appear, choose the View tab and you will see a list of options.

Find and select the Show hidden files and folders option. Then click Apply, then OK in that order.

This will make any hidden files on your computer visible.

Now open My Computer and double click on the mp3 player to open it.
You should see a few grayed out folders. We will be looking for MUSIC and SYSTEM.

Open the Music folder to see if there are files there to delete.

Open the SYSTEM folder and look for a second Music folder deleting this folder will free A LOT of space..all of the pre-loaded music for Rhapsody channels.

Disconnect the device and check the free space.
