SOURCE: no heat

the heater core valve or the heater core itself may be damaged.check the hoses that run to the heater core they should be warm after running the heater full blast. if one of the hoses is hot. The valve may be plugged. the heater core valve is connected to the hose itself. It can be an electronic valve or vacuum controled valve. If it is a vacuum controlled valve you can manually open it and close it . If it's plugged by debris from dirty coolant or sludge it can get clogged. If it is an electronic valve, check it with a volt meter and see if current is flowing through it. if it is not the valve has to be replaced. if it is not the valve, it is the heater core that is leaking or has build up and has clogged.Needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: Viewsonic PJ556d shuts down after 30-60 seconds

My solution sounds dumb, I had the same issue. Took the lamp cover off the bottom. The screws were loose holding in the lamp. Maybe they heat and expand and eventually work their way out and the lamp doesn't make good contact. Just tightened mine up, the unit would power off after 45 minutes prior. Been on now for 5 hours, no trouble.

SOURCE: Duo Therm AC/Heating not working at all after tripped breaker.

I had to get on the roof of mine, remove the cover and manually spin the fan. Add a little oil to the shaft where it goes thru the bearing. All of this is done on the roof side. Mine required this procedure every spring. Duotherm realizes they had a problem and have since corrected it but they don't deal with all of their customers that had the original problem.

At night its shuts down when the therm is satisfied, but trys to restart right away and when it does start it shuts down right away and just keeps doing this

The thermostat has a differential built into the temperature sensing operation. The differential is normally a degree or more. If the stat shuts down at 72 degrees it should not start the unit again until the temperature in the room reaches 73. If the AC runs and cools properly until it shuts down, I would check the thermostat. The AC can not restart immediately after it shuts off because the pressures in the system are too high at the compressor. It takes a few minutes for the pressures equalize allowing the compressor to start. If the stat tells the unit to start under high pressure, the compressor will shut down on overload. It will start and run after the pressure falls enough for the compressor motor to run.

The best guess is that you have a bad thermostat. When the compressor shuts off it has to stay off for a long enough period of time for the low pressure high pressure to equalize. If it turns the compressor off and back on immediately it can't start against the heavy load created by these unequal pressures. If it will start every time after sitting for 10 minutes the thermostat is making it short cycle.

Crazy Heat

I think that I would change out the thermostat only due to the symptoms you are describing. Think the control board may be fine however, the thermostat sounds as if the internal componants are going out. Good luck on your repairs

Honeywell fan&limit stat manual reset control

Okay, the red button is a manual reset that is the heat enchanger gets to hot it opens the safety cicruit. The new one does not have the red button so therefore it will automatically reset itself once the temperature of the heat exchanger cools down. Once you install the new one verify the control shuts the unit down. The easiest way for you to do this is to cover the return grilles with a plastic bag with a little tape to hold it to the grille. Then start the heat cycle and observe the furnace operations. There should be a little tab near the 200 degree temp. once it gets to the 12 oclock point the burners should shut down. If it shuts down properly pull plastic bags off returns and satisfy tstat. now turn heat on again and observe what temp the blower comes on
