Question about Fujitsu Heating & Cooling

Open Question

Fujitsu thermostat My fujitsu Halcyon inverter works fine unless I have a power failure. When that happens the unit reverts back to factory setting and allows the air handlers to detect room temperature. This is bad because one is in the attic and one in the basement. With the attic reaching high temps in summer and cold temps in winter the unit works overtime to try to reach an unreachable temp. Summer making the rooms too cold and winter too hot. Not good if you are not home. Fujitsu has not been helpful and claim only their thermostat will work with the unit. This is obviously a defect. I can change the thermo back to detect room temp, but what happens when I'm not home. A battery backup might work or is there a thermostat that will hold the settings after a power failure.

SOURCE: adjusting thermostat temperature

nope. Try bouncing the air off the ceiling instead of pointing it towards the floor. You know the vent grille should be adjustable. The air is just recirculating back into unit and short cycling stat. Create a barrier between supply and return!

When we have a power bump the unit reverts back to factory settings, Can a ups be added to the control board to eliminate this problem?

Not sure why your unit would reset to factory settings, it's usually the thermostat settings that control the unit and resets when you have a power failure. Most thermostats have a battery in then to power the thermostat during a power failure. They usually only maintain the power from 15 to 30 minutes to maintain your settings, before defaulting back to factory settings. After every power failure you usually have to replace the batteries.
