I've been charged for Amazon Prime memebership £79.00,but I haven't applied for it and my status shows I am not a prime memeber

Firstly be aware that there is a lot of spam purporting to be from amazon when in fact it isn’t. It usually takes the form of a billing email but shows a higher than usual charge for prime with a link in it that when you click on it and login it steals your credentials.

If that isn’t the case then you would need to check your amazon account and check if you have subscribed to prime. If you have done it in error then I’d suggest contacting the amazon live chat which only shows up when logged in on a pc/Mac web browser or using the official amazon app available from the google play store or Apple App Store.

Once completed I would suggest you change your account password and apply multi factor to your account (that’s where amazon text you a unique code each time you login).

About the Amazon Prime Membership Fee At the end of the Amazon Prime free trial or your chosen membership period, your card will be charged automatically for the next membership period.

Did you signup for the free trial? After the free trial is over they will automatically bill you. If you NEVER signed up for anything dealing with Amazon Prime, contact your credit card bank (or whatever) and report a fraudulent charge.

Email amazon or go to your account settings and cancel there.

There's no relationship between Netflix and Amazon Prime whatsoever. If you subscribe to Netflix everything listed is included in your monthly charge. If you subscribe to Amazon Prime, some videos are included with your membership and some you pay for. Two totally separate companies.
