Yes. Look at the tube that runs from the back to the front. Youll see a clamp on it. You can make adjustments there.

How long is the deck belt for a snapper riding mower LT 150H38IBV

Go to the Snapper Website, Go to Manuals/Parts lists, enter the model and serial number of the mower. Scan for the proper diagram, copy the belt serial number. Go to a belt specialty retailer, present the belt serial number. They should be able to supply the belt length, and probably the belt.

How do I get the deck drive belt on?

If the belt seems to short most of the time you only have to push the pedal in that makes the mower drive pulleys closer together.
This makes the belt slide over the pulleys and when you release the pedal the belt is tight and drives the mower.

The belt will not get tight. the pully needs to be

When looking at the belt system the pully would be the one that actually puts pressure on the belt. Adjust it so that it sits closer to the belt when not depressed, this way when depressed it increases the "tightness" of your belt.

I own a Snapper riding mower, hydrostat drive, 14.5 Hp, 38 cut. Reverse speed has suddenly been reduced to a crawl. Could it be the brakes need adjusting or is the engine/transmission shot?

could be a linkage came loose, or that the fluid level in trans is low, has nothing to do with engine but the hydros are prone to failure, also the hydro is driven by a vbelt which can stretch and mimic a trans problem
