How do i fix my toilet which flushes just fine, fills with water then stops but every now and then will run for about 15 seconds then stop

Check your flapper and run your finger around where it seats to make sure there no ridges or cracks. Sometimes the flapper is off center and it will do that. Some other times the water valve that fills the toilet can stick. If it's the water valve change it with a Fluid Master all in one (valve & ballcock assembly) You can adjust the water level right on the assembly for how many litres of tank water before installation. They are very easy to install and alot of unnecessary adjustments will be avoided compared to the old ballcock style.

Water continues to run problem

Could be a stuck or old and leaky flapper
Could be a clogged valve
Could be an old in need of replacement valve
Could be a number of other things depending on what kind of toilet and hardware you have
Residential or commercial?
Ball cock and flapper? Or newer style internal float valve?

My toilet keeps leaking from tank to bowl--replaced all internal parts

If the flapper and all has been replaced. then it must be worn out where the flapper sits. or its not smooth.check to make sure it is smooth where the flapper closes, and make sure it closes fully when flushed. you might be better off with a new toilet, but thats up to you!

Needs two flushes to empty bowel

might be that the water level in the tank is to low. if both buttons release the same amount of water then you have to increase the water level in the tank by adjusting the height of the floater on the inlet valve. look inside the tank and there should be a WL mark meaning water level should be set to this level minimum.

I have installed a Fluidmaster 403 G fill valve, flapper and tank lever to the water tank in my toilet. The tank fills OK but after several minutes the water in the tank has drained out I can not see...

if no leaks in tank. push down on flapper when it fills up. if water stops draining then it is the seal under flapper that is bad. you can lift up flapper and put patrolium jelly on bottom of flapper. this may just seal it. or it needs a certain type of flapper.

Same problem. water wont shut off.

You need a new fill valve,Get Fluidmaster style. That is if you have the old ball type.

We find toilet flappers the main reason there is septic backups(leaking flappers)
Good luck.
