Question about Vacuums
After removing the battery from its charger, the handle for removing the battery is slightly elevated and won't go back down. This means that the battery cannot make full connection with the stick vac, so I can't turn on the vacuum. Is there a way to fix this?

Let me say this; The battery replacement for the Electrolux is not a owner level replacement procedure. However, you can replace the 4 original EMX1600sS batteries . The battery model is Tenergy 2/3A Size Rechargeable Battery 1.2V 1600mAh NiMH W/ Tabs Those are a little smaller than the originals but with the same capacity of 1600mAh and can be easily found in the web. Anything under those specs should work. These types of battery's will cost about $15.00 on the web.

SOURCE: I purchased a brand new P113 Ryobi charger about 2 years ago. It has never worked. If I put a P104 battery in for a charge, it looks like it works correctly. I push the battery tester on the battery i
If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $30 at Home Depot. It has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. If it charges your batteries properly, you're good. If not, bring it back if you don't like/want it. My P113 won't get out of test mode now, or charge Lithium batteries anymore. So I bought the P117 yesterday. Works great, and it's a lot cheaper than new batteries! And it has a 3 year warranty.
