  • john h Dec 16, 2016

i can send you to links i can give you numbers but when dealing with your medical health you dont go on a web site [mind you a repair type site ] for medical advice also your b/p has different variables to it such as weight -diet-medication -at rest -etc but yes i know the answer and here you go this is what is considered Normal blood pressure for adults is a reading of less than 120/80 mmHg. Prehypertension is indicated by a systolic reading between 120 and 139 mmHg or a diastolic reading between 80 and 89 mmHg, according to the National Heart, Blood and Lung Institute. High blood pressure is a systolic reading between 140 and 159 mmHg or a diastolic reading between 90 and 99 mmHg. Stage 2 is anything above 160/100 mmHg. and for a correct reading use a b/p cuff with bulb inflator and a stethoscope

134/69 blood pressure reading is this high or low or normal?

Actually it is pretty good. The 134 is a bit higher than desired, but 69 is great. Please check with your physician.

I am 69 blood pressure is 133/69 is this good or bad

These are only numbers ,that appear to fall in normal range when seen alone, but would mean more if other factors could be evaluated.Weight, lipid levels, cortisol level, medications etc.Occasionally medical problems of one type will mask other problems in ways that may seem beneficial resulting in false positives or fall negatives.

My Blood pressure is 116 over 69 I am 61 years old should I be concerned

I am 71 with close to the same readings but I have a record of pressure readings at the doctors so any variations up or down can be read by the doctor which is what you should be doing as a random reading on a home unit is really telling you nothing
hydration, anemia, stress and lots of other variables can affect blood pressure readings so see your doctor on a regular basis --monthly or 3 monthly to get a history for a better understanding of the readings

Does my unit require recalibration I keep getting readings under 100 over under 70? 97/69

Sounds like placement or noise artifact to me. See if hospital Biomed staff can check it for you. I think it is more than likely how you are operating it though.

I have a mabis 04-203-001 and it SEEMS it never registers the systolic pressure...it never tells me to stop inflating and deflate.....it endlessly tells me to keep adding pressure - too much, I'm sure! and...

You must inflate far enough to stop blood flow, or the machine can not sense the systalic pressure. I suggest that you have your blood pressure checked. It looks like it my be HIGH!
