Where are fuses in Kenmore stove C970

Stoves generally do not have internal fuses they rely on the house circuit breaker to protect the circuit. Some stoves have what is called a thermal fuse. These can trip when the oven or broiler has overheated. Some are located on the back panel and some are located on the top panel under the top of the stove. Since this is a smooth top model there may be one on the back panel. More than likely there is a problem with the oven control circuit possibly in the electronic control. The relays can go bad on the control and the oven will not work.

Oven overheating

Your thermostat is STUCK. Replace. Your 'tripping mains' is your clue that your power is over loaded. Have an electrician check your boxes to make sure all is ok AFTER fixing stove.

If the element hasn't deformed it should be ok to get fixed, but you may want to test the insulation first just to be safe.

My kenmore electric range model 790 is displaying a F10 code which i believe it means it's overheating. can you help with this problem

Frigidaire stove
(F10 only) Check RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary.
If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to
overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe
overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should
damage be extensive.
