SOURCE: Deleting tracks

You may have a memory allocation error. You can "format" the device thru My Computer, that should resolve it. Go to My Computer>Device name, right click and select format. This will delete all contents. Best of Luck.

SOURCE: Sansa is unable to synch new music and only has 5 "bad tracks" on it that I can't delete...

Two possible methods:
Go ahead and do this, in case the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

How can I stop my music from being deleted when I plug my player up to the computer to sync more music onto it from windows media player?

If on iTunes it will only allow music that you have purchased from iTunes. Anything else it sees are pirated. You can get over this by buying an iTunes Match subscription. This allows you to transfer any music it iCloud and iTunes, so when you synch, all your music is there. You can drag your music from Windows Media player to iTunes.

If you are using a Windows phone, just Google the problem as someone will have come across it before.

Rather than Synching, you may be able to drag individual tracks to the player. Synching does what it says, it make the one device the same as the other device, so if there are tracks on the player that are in Windows Media Player, it will remove them so both are the same. There may be a setting to NOT Delete what is on the player, just Update New Tracks.

These tracks are corrupt Delete all Format
Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders them selfs then format a couple of times hope this works

Try and drag and drop2.gif from your music folder to the media folder on the player make sure usb mode is msc this will show you all the folders Use your windows explorer for the transfer... much easier...If you don't have copies of your music copy to a folder on the computer first

Deleting songs.

Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection.
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\MUSIC
folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).

If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.

When i transfer music from my library it deletes all existing tracks from device

Are the existing tracks still on your computer? Most mp3 devices won't keep existing music on the device unless told to do so. Basically, don't delete any playlists or tracks from the program that you are using to transfer the music.
